#repost @tallgrill Anna Firth (California, USA). Firth uses traditional drawn animation methods to create gifs and expanded cinema works. Her animations often crowd anthropomorphic stock characters into the video frame and weave the characters cartoonish bodies in infinitely looping scenes. I am interested in the canine representations.

Ghost Loops
Animator Anna Firth from Vancouver is an eerie throwback to when I went to film school in the 1970s. She creates her work by hand, shoots it on an Oxberry Animation Stand and displays her work in galleries on CRT monitors. At one point she used a Bolex camera to shoot some of her work. Oh, she also belongs to an experimental animation collective called Flavourcel.
The work she is doing is both beautiful and mesmerizing, and the way she talks about loops is profound... HT to The Art of Animated Gifs https://bit.ly/2PoaCsO
