The Romanovs and the Zodiac
Aquarius
The eleventh sign in the zodiac. The sign for Aquarius is air while the ruling planets are Uranus and Saturn. The sign for Aquarius is the water bearer or water carrier, represented by the zodiacal constellation Aquarius is Ganymede, a beautiful Phrygian youth. Ganymede was the son of Tros, king of Troy. While tending to his father's flocks on Mount Ida, Ganymede was spotted by Zeus. Zeus fell in love with him and flew down to the mountain in the form of a large bird, whisking Ganymede away to the heavens. Ever since, the boy has served as cupbearer to the gods. Romanovs born under Aquarius include; Empress Elizabeth Alexeievna (b. January 24, 1779), Grand Duchess Anna Petrovna (b. January 27, 1708), and Empress Anna Ioannovna (February 7, 1693).
