1. What’s your favorite part of the writing process?
Oh, it's gotta be those first hazy days, when I new idea has popped into my mind and all I can do is writewritewrite some fucked up stream of consciousness trying to get the entire thing on paper. It's like an explosion of excitement and creativity. The comedown is less exciting. It's not as much fun having to sort through the mess I made, kill my darlings, and squeeze it all into an actual outline.
15. What is your favorite detail to include while writing?
Oooh this is a good question. I think it's probably the movement between dialogue. What someone is doing with their hands while they ask a question, are they passing a cigarette back and forth, are they distracted by something. I find that in real life, no one ever just sits still and speaks with one another. There's always something else going on, even if it's just chewing on a lip or fiddling with something on a table or something. And I think using body language in those moments can tell the reader a LOT about a character's mindset. So yeah, probably the gaps in a conversation.
