ya’ll bet the bts concert in amsterdam was the best experience ever. i can’t believe i got so lucky to be there and have absolutely incredible seats (they were so close omg). the boys seemed so genuinely happy and the crowd was really great (at least around me everyone was v chill but very excited and loving). bts really are phenomenal performers, so much better than ANY video makes it seem. it was just so so good.

meanwhile: bts comeback is happening today + a million interviews of them are being released + i’ve got a 3 hour long exam that’s gonna be 50% of my end mark

ah yes my three akotsk fanfic wips. intersex dunk has lyonel's bastard. rafe lives au that's centered on a religious oc. and unpublished omegaverse lyonel . because i do not know who i am anymore but i've been changing

it tickles the soul to see the same excuses made now by "authors" caught having used generative AI (via the claude code tracker; link to twitter) as were made Many Long Years Gone by those discovered to have plagiarized. you have the authors that just ghost, the authors that fault others, the authors that deny deny deny, and of course the rare few that admit their use and explain or apologize (eg the authors who used claude to generate formatting; this i still find morally distasteful).

a couple things i find interesting in this:

a lack of familiarity with html and site coding on the part of a couple of the "authors" identified. removing the need for fic writers to know at least some basic html has led to especially younger web users who don't understand that it's possible to look at the html code of a given webpage or that such code exists.

ao3's long offered the capability to add fics to a collection; it was once particularly easy for a bad actor to do so and then effectively 'private' the entire collection, hiding all the selected works. (now ao3 e-mails authors to alert them when a fic is made a mystery work so they can remove their fic from such a collection, but of course this is only helpful if the author is still active on that e-mail.) a number of the stranger things "writers" whose works were IDed as having the claude markers rather than orphaning works or deleting them/an account have instead made collections and thus privated it all.
