Day 10: Favorite AU This was a tough one to settle on as there are ton of great AU’s out there but I do remember reading through @anna-earley‘s massive info text about the Gun Dog AU and was absolutely captivated. I fucking love all the designs in this AU.

haha yes! and while Matt was helping me out with it he had very glowing reviews for the stuff you made when you took the class! he showed me the character busts you did on that class blog and they are RAD!

Well it basically started out sorting through the Indeed job board and just applying for what I felt qualified for.  A lot of graphic design jobs, a job at shutterstock as an image reviewer, some game art/concept art jobs.  I figured I'd get the elevated hopes out of the way first and next time I sit down to apply for work, look for much more mundane stuff that isn't in my field of interest.

Yes.  It is a lot.  I have gotten really good at entering the same information over and over and over again.  It comes with the whole always applying for jobs and never getting one LAWLZ.

That’s ridiculous. The prof’s attendance policy really should not supersede the police set by the school. Why bother having a school-wide policy at all, then, if teachers are just going to ignore it and set their own rules?

My point exactly. It makes no sense, and this teacher has failed multiple students before because of his attendance policy. Specifically there's a girl I know who has taken his class three times because she had a string of deaths and family drama, but he failed her anyway.  Yet my other teacher has a similar classroom policy, but if you at least tell her and it's a valid reason, then she'll excuse your absences. Either way I don't find it ok, sure you need to attend class but shit happens man. Not excusing anything is like expecting me to not be emotional during this time.

I had the same situation a couple years back. Very frustrating, because it’s like, the last thing you want to be worrying about right now is classroom attendance.

Exactly. And now I have to be careful and basically unless I'm dying make it to that class, but even then it's just like ugh. Shit happens man, being badly ill or going through emotional times is valid in the real world, so school shouldn't be any different.

Anna and I did a fun little trade this past week! We both took a piece that the other had done, and drew it in our own style. Here is one that she posted up a while back that I just LOVED so I had to redo it! The original image is here... 

I had such a fun time doing this! It was a great warm up. :>

Something like this actually happened to me in my book making class. I was making a leather book and wanted rabbit fur for the spine and my teacher overheard me and pulls a full skin out of her bag randomly like “You want this one?” XD
