Yesterday it suddenly dawned on me that the #sewingthescene deadline was TODAY! So I hailed my butt to my machine and started working. The plan was to make the dress Mary Jackson wore at the beginning of the movie #HiddenFigures played by Janelle Monáe. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I didn't have time to make the adjustment to my #AnnaDress bodice to make the wrapped feature at the bodice, and I thought to myself that I would wear the dress more often if the skirt was a full rather than slim. So I paired the bodice with the pleated skirt from #Zeenadress both patterns from @byhandlondon. So in the end the dress doesn't look much alike, but more suited to something I'll wear regularly. The fabric is Tartan brushed cotton from @minervacrafts and it's so snuggly its secret Pajamas ❤️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It's raining terrible here in Trondheim today, but on the plus side I get to show you that I'm brolly buddies with the lovely @sewvee 😄☔ (at Trondheim, Norway)
