hey! i'm new to the fandom and new to seeing the play and wasn't sure who to ask this, but i saw cursed child the other day for the first time and i was so enamored with jonathan's portrayal i really want to see him again! was wondering if you know how long/when he will be on cast? or if he's taken/will be taking holiday? if i bought tickets to see the play in december vs. january, would i have a chance to see him? thanks

This cast will be with us until mid May 2020 so you have plenty of time to see him again. He will have holiday, I just couldn’t tell you when as I have no idea. Unlike a lot of other shows, these guys aren’t allowed to tell us when they’re off. But I do know we’re definitely getting covers in July. The cast are very, very excited about it. As am I! (Although even if he is off in the next couple of weeks, he’ll still have more holiday before May.)
As for December/January, I’m fairly sure all the cast are supposed to be on for the shows around Christmas. So, in theory, you should be alright booking for then. But, it’s also the worst time of year for illnesses. Understandably. So you still can’t guarantee any particular cast member.
The only month I know for sure they’re not allowed to take holiday in is May. So I’d suggest booking for then, or waiting until you hear when he’s off next and then booking for the following few weeks. People do regularly post cast boards on Twitter so it’s worth keeping an eye out for those and keeping a tab on his holidays.
