BLOGGED : I Shot And Styled My Favourite Looks From Judith & Charles S/S ‘17 Collection

Ooooo oh tell me about her! What's her favorite food? Does she read? Any specific weapons? Where is she from?

Oh my gosh, thank you so much for asking! Her name is Penny Kane, and she’s a medical assistant assigned to the Normandy by Cerberus in ME2. I was always a little surprised that Dr. Chakwas didn’t have a nurse or anything to help her so I made one! 

She’s from a mining colony way out in the middle of nowhere where her mother was the head doctor for the colony. A lot of her initial medical knowledge came from her mom, and she often helped out along with one of her brothers. When she was 16 her colony was attacked. Cerberus swooped in and saved the colony, but not before her Mom and brother were killed. Cerberus asked if any of the survivors waned to volunteer once the dust settled and she joined up. She was assigned to a biological researcher doing some experiments where she spent the next few years learning as much as she possibly could. Penny was assigned to the Normandy as a medical assistant since she was already familiar with the enhancements Shepard was receiving, she could provide some positive spin for Cerberus, and even though she was very talented she was only an assistant and hadn’t led a project herself so she was replaceable if everything went south.

Penny’s competent with a pistol, I figure that Cerberus provides some weapons training for all their operatives considering all the dangerous stuff they get into, but she doesn’t have much experience with anything bigger. 

Her favorite food is strawberries, though she doesn’t get to eat them much. Fruit is a bit scarce in space. Other than that she’s not very picky, living in out of the way colonies and research labs makes it difficult to be choosy. If she has her pick though she likes sweet and spicy foods.

She read for fun a lot as a teen, but now her reading is pretty much confined to journals and papers. Penny tries to keep up with new theories and breakthroughs as much as possible. She’d actually read all of Mordin’s papers while she was preparing to join the Normandy crew, and she was really excited to talk with him. She ends up spending a lot of her off time down in Mordin’s lab, picking his brain and helping him out with experiments. Besides Dr. Chakwas, who Penny grows very close to over the course of ME2, Mordin is the person on the Normandy she gets along best with.
