Did you miss last night's broadcast on Mad Science: The Genetic Crossroad? That's ok! Here’s an archive of episode, "Synthetic Biology: The New Revolution,” Series Program 24 originally aired on September 25, 2014.
Show Description: As we forge our way into the future, designing and constructing biological devices and systems for marketable purposes is no longer the stuff of science fiction, but quickly becoming the norm. Much more frightening is that it is rapidly being realized as the acceptable norm. What are the real implications of what is being dubbed, "The New Biological Revolution," in which agribusiness meets synthetic biology to not only define the next step in GMO, but also our own evolution as a species?
Trust the process and never question the journey...
Hello my friends, I hope this little note finds you well and enjoying summertime!
I wanted to touch base and let everyone know that with most of my work I will be on the dark side of the moon for awhile while I take some much needed time off. I tried to do a partial hiatus but found myself getting pulled right back into work and discussions over future work, so I have decided to draw a line in the sand somewhere and initiate a complete blackout!
I am all set and ready to go. My next round of vacation officially begins tomorrow and I am so looking forward to spending the rest of the summer simply relaxing, enjoying beautiful new experiences, and absorbing some lovely pampering and TLC. I also cannot wait for the time in there somewhere to lounge about for some pleasure reading, and a little pleasure writing too. It is really important, for several reasons, for me to get back to my first love in genre of writing... it has been far too long since I have had the time or creative and emotional energy needed to invest in more artistic projects after what has been a grueling few years in so many ways and on so many levels. It is time to right that wrong and reunite with some of my defining passions that fell to the wayside while I was navigating all the new directions life had so unexpectedly thrown upon me, directions I felt compelled to follow in doing my part to try and make this world a little better place for someone else. But it came at a cost so the freedom I am allowing myself for the rest of the summer will allow me the time and breathing room needed to get those creative juices flowing again in the way they once did... and I can now say I have no doubt they will again. From there, I will be faced with some tough choices in creating a balance between what and how much I can realistically do... and what my soul and personal direction for my life wants to do. I think it's all working itself out for me on its own in natural progression and process, which is a beautiful thing. Life has a way of derailing you, but always bringing you back to your course. As I always say, trust the process and never question why we are called to walk the journey. It knows where it's going and why.
I don't think I've fully realized just how hard I have worked over the last few years until recently. I feel really good about everything I have accomplished thus far, and excited about the things on tap for the future... but I definitely needed an extended break this summer and plan to enjoy every minute of it absolutely guilt free. I will be back full force, and then some, when summer ends and will have so much to share with everyone then. But for now, I think this is really a perfect time to take stock, recharge, rebalance, and most importantly spend time cherishing the loves in my life and getting back to everything that matters more than anything. The world can be so ugly, unfair, and cruel sometimes so allowing ourselves to make room for the joy-filled, wonderous moments that make it all worth it is so important. I wish a happy summering to everyone. Here's to love, peace, reflection, good times, and cold drinks with little umbrellas in them!! xo (Oh, and just a little note for my Living Eden Magazine subscribers who may be wondering... of course there will be no interruption in issues due to my vacation. Our August issue will be announced soon!!)
Warmly, Anna xo

Its purpose is to bring a better understanding to the public of the very real damage of cyber-abuse, while urging Congress to pass better, more consistent and enforceable legislation that will do more in holding cyber-abusers accountable for their crimes, and to protect victims from the cruel and malicious individuals who relentlessly abuse, violate and destroy lives online.
