i dont think i've ever seen a good manga summary ever, Nila. this has been the case especially with DNAngel. haven't seen a single one in a magazine or elsewhere that described it well.
I-I know. We should make it a challenge to write a good one for DNAngel...

well, when tpop fell apart, they managed to keep a few of their licenses while the others reverted back to the original holders. i dont know if DN was one of the ones they kept but…it’s possible
I-I don't know. I kind of doubt it. Maybe it's just me.
...Right, the winter writing challenge....
W-who am I still waiting on? Hmm...
Paulina, Digi, Anna, and maybe Adrian, Naru, Fuwa…?
I-I have 7 free slots f-for you all ^_^ and 4 or 7 secondary slows that c-can be replaced if anyone else wants to request!

Flower Girl Nila 05: Veteran Annalis
It was rare that Nila was challenged to a battle. But it did happen. Occasionally. Mostly when she stepped outside her shop.
And today was one of those days, when a veteran pokemon trainer named Annalis had come by and challenged her to a battle. Hesitant--mostly worried about the thought of her pokemon getting hurt--she agreed to a one-round two-on-two battle. That would at least minimize the damage and none of her little ones would get hurt.
She waved Serperior and Gallade over from the field--they were her two main battlers after all, and this Annalis person looked powerful. Nila had caught the glimpse of the eight badge marks on her trainer card.
When Annalis saw she was choosing a psychic/fighting and grass type, so she sent out her Chandelure, Cameron, and her Xatu, Xeno. Serperior was impressed by the lack of fear these two showed, sneering in particular at his bird-like opponent. Nila sighed--at least Serperior was willing to fight. Even if neither of their opponents would be particularly affected by his grass type moves.
The battle began, fierce and full of moments that made Nila squeak and flinch. Serperior kept attacking head-on, proud and strong--and struggled even after Gallade had humbly accepted his defeat and returned to his pokeball. Serperior wouldn't give up--and Nila looked worried, so Annalis called off the battle when Nila asked for surrender.
Serperior looked furious, to say the least, and Nila rushed over and tried to calm him--she rubbed some natural ointments against his scales, stroking his neck gently and trying to lead him back to the shop.
Nila sighed, releasing Gallade again so she could tend to his wounds too, and Gallade projected her thoughts for her.
"Would you like to stay and rest here? You can stay the night. As payment for winning, I suppose. Help yourself to some berries." She offered kindly. "I can heal your pokemon a bit too, since the next pokemon center is a way's away..."
Ralts and Snivy prodded at their respective father-figures in worry, and Ralts even climbed into Gallade's lap and sat there, chanting soothing songs.
Annalis agreed to stay, letting out a few of her pokemon so she could feed them some of the berries Nila offered. Annalis's Scizor, Shawn, and Ninetails, Tea, happily dug in--the Kingdra, Flynn, had gone to the lake and begun swimming around. The Hydreigon, Arcrave, had to stay outside due to its size, so Nila brought a big tray of fruits for it to eat, before going back and tending to Xeno and Cameron. Annalis thanked her for her hard work, and promised to leave in the morning.
They spent the day talking and having fun, trying to keep Serperior from staging his own rematch, and the next morning, before Annalis left, she told Serperior, "I'll definitely come back for a rematch sometime." And to Nila, "I'll be sure to tell others about this place--you're a pretty sweet person, Nila."
And just as promised, she left. Nila waved, smiling, glad she had made another friend who had just been passing by on their journey.
