Salamanders are aquatic animals, they naturally know how to swim, some even live in the water their whole lives so I’m pretty sure 2012 Mona Lisa knows how to swim lol

Oooooo, this should be fun! Just a reminder before I start that 3 out of 4 of these OCs aren’t mine. Irrilia belongs to @myrling-art , Thalos & Sal/G’throkka belong to @bludinkdragonz , and Frida belongs to me

This is just my personal headcanon of these kids dynamic and characters. I’m sure the OC’s creators got there own ideas for their OCs but keep in mind that this is just my personal take of the RaMona kids.

— Irrilia and Thalos were surprised babies, Raph and Mona didn’t plan on having them, while Sal and Frida were planned.

— People often mistake Thalos for being the oldest because of his towering height when it’s actually Irrilia who’s the oldest sibling.

— Each kid started their ninja training when they turned 6 years old, just like their father when he started training to become a ninja. Mona wanted their training to start a little earlier but Raph said no.

— Being the first Hamato born of the next generation, Irrilia is next in line to lead the Hamato clan once Uncle Leo retires. This knowledge puts a lot of pressure onto Irrilia, desperately wanting to meet everyone’s expectations of her.

— Sal hates that he’s the only boy in the family that has spots, his mother and sisters have them but his dad and big brother don’t. He feels girly with them so he always tries to cover them up.

— Thalos is very talented in mechanics and engineering and is also skilled with high tech weaponry, preferring advance alien weapons over ninja weapons, just like his mother. He’s the weapons expert of the team.

— Frida often feels like she’s a disappointment to the family because she’s the only one in her family who dislikes fighting. Coming from a family of great warriors she feels like she’s disgracing the family name with her pacifist nature.

— When each of the kids were a baby they all loved to play with Mona’s tail and sometimes even teethed on it.

— The kids love riding on Chompy’s shell like he’s a horse (since by the time they’re all born Chompy is big enough to be rode on) but Raph always worries that they’ll get hurt or burn themselves with Chompy’s fire breath.

— Raph knows how to sew, so a lot of the kids clothes were made by him. Things like scarfs, sweaters, or even Frida’s skirt were all made by Dada Raph.

— Oh! One of the kids has a crush on someone? Prepare for constant playful teasing and annoying kissing sounds from the other siblings.

— Irrilia’s main weapon is s sai sword combo (I’ve seen so many fanarts of her with a sai sword and it looks awesome!), Thalos is more of a gun/blasters man who also wears Salamandrain wrist blades like his mother, Sal is more like his father and fights with traditional ninja weapons, for him it’s the tonfa (or even a sai like Raph), and Frida’s weapons is a pink ribbon like wipe.

— All of the RaMona kids at some point each in their lives felt insecure about who their parents are. Their mother is a intergalactic military leader while their father is a skilled ninja warrior and legend who saved the Earth countless times. This often makes the kids feel insecure about their abilities, worried they may never meet up with same greatness their parents had in their youth. But Raph and Mona make it clear to their kids that their purpose isn’t about being as great or greater then them, it’s about being their own person and carving out their own destiny and how they are proud of the children no matter what they’ll do or accomplish in the future.

More or less, what year were the turtles, and their friends, born? i keep trying to figure out what year mona was born and i can't ;-;

That’s easy. You just gotta do the math or if you hate doing math like me, do a wiki search.

The turtles were 15 by the beginning of the show, taking place in 2012 so the turtles were born (or at least the year of their mutation was) in 1997 (which is confirmed on their wiki pages)

As for April, she’s 16, one year older than the turtles so she was born in 1996 (again, it’s confirmed on her wiki page)

And finally for Casey he’s two years older than the turtles, and one year older than April, making him 17, so he was born in 1995 (also confirmed on his wiki)

As for Mona Lisa, in the 2012 series she had no canon or confirmed age. Most of her wiki pages say “age unknown”, but my assumption is that she must be around the turtles (and friends) age, mainly because of her relationship with Raph, so she must be close to his age. Personally I always headcanon that Mona Lisa is around 17-18 years old.

Well after he asked her out in episode 8 they didn't see each other again until the Evil of Dregg episode and we all known the emotional train wreck they went through, but the episode did confirm they stay in contact with each other between episode 8 to episode 12 when Armaggon mentioned their "love mail" as he put it.
