Don't Say No Episode 12, Season Finale Review
Not even gonna pretend I didn't love every second of the Leofiat scenes in this episode. Also:
I've been lowkey in love with Anda for a while now, but that outfit combined with that intense, predatory look in her eyes that's almost exactly like the look my girlfriend gives me sometimes made me melt. I wish so much that we get a spinoff with her and Natsu, and I remain bitter that we got exactly no kisses or even any romantic scenes between the two of them.
I'll do a longer post appreciating this scene(and I appreciate it so very, very much), but this
Is the hottest moment between them since the scene in ep one where Leo pins Fiat to the wall.
I loved the makeout scene, I loved the scene after the basketball match in which Fiat kissed Leo in front of everyone(though how he got it into his head that there was a single person who didn't know they were dating is beyond me). I will admit I was rather hoping that the reward would be rope or chains, but I supposed that'd be asking too much.
As for the rest of it, I wasn't particularly blown away. I get that there was a dearth of Pobleon scenes in the last couple of episodes, but I still feel like their scenes this ep lasted too long, as did the pauses between each sentence. I want to say it doesn't make sense for Pob to be this broken up about leaving Leon, since they've been dating for like two weeks, but I think he probably transferred a lot of his emotions about Pobjer onto Leon, so it does make a certain degree of sense. Obviously Leon's reaction to Pob leaving is expected. And while he did make it somewhat about himself, I feel like, given his age and just how spoiled he was growing up, he handled it rather maturely. Honestly, I really hope they don't get back together(though of course they will) because this sort of thing absolutely happens. You have feelings for someone, but then realize that what you want out of life doesn't match up, and it's better for both of you to move on and try to find a partner who wants the same things(this is of course assuming you're monogamous and can't keep casually dating the person while looking for a primary). Anyway, I found myself bored and unaffected by the Pobleon scenes, which was a pity. I don't know, perhaps I would have liked them more if they weren't set right next to Leofiat, probably my favorite couple(if not set in my favorite show) of all time. Pobleon was the moon on a cloudless day.
Blah blah, basketball, blah blah. It was admittedly nice to see King lose though.
Overall, I'd give the Leofiat parts of this episode a 10/10, the rest of it probably a 3/10. It looks like the special episode will probably be set at least a few years in the future, given how busted up the key chains are. Hopefully the Pobleon story is wrapped up in that episode and they don't go on with a sequel with Leofiat as a side couple that I'll have to watch just to get more Leofiat. Anyway, there'll probably be a Leofiat proposal in the special ep, if not a wedding. I look forward to it.
I'll emphasize again that I would really love an AndaNatsu spinoff with Leofiat as a side couple. That'd be lovely.
