17. What is your OC’s zodiac sign?

Even haunting the corridors of her own mind, this Gravekeeper could not begin to recall the day Annaliese Handhour first drew breath, let alone the collection of stars she was born beneath. "Rebirth" into death was also not a sudden event marked by a single day's event for the Gravekeeper, so the idea of the zodiac is a little lost on this one. Yet the question left some measure of amused curiosity in the deathly lady.

"Quite think that could be a question to ask of a Darkmoon Soothsayer. Maybe I'll find myself haunting those Fairegrounds, who's to say...?"

6. How large is the Gravekeeper's family?

The question would be one to make the Keeper answer with a hollow humor. "Bring me the bones, and I'll build you a nice little family tree."

(The Handhour line Anna was born to has been long dead, save for one that does not know her sister 'lives'. In death, she would not string the word 'family' around the phantoms that walk with her or her fellow dead, but the unholy camaraderie she has with some Grave Born may be all will find a relation to now.)

Warcraft Themed Muse Questions: ANIMA - What does their soul, for lack of a better term, -look- like? Describe physical sensation, colours, smells, aesthetics etc. 

Lady Handhour appears like the epitome of the classic spirit that inspires legendary ghost stories: a mysterious female spectre haunting abandoned structures or graveyards. She takes the shape of a human woman just past her prime of youth, dressed in old world Gilnean fine clothes. She could be described as somberly beautiful, some forgotten visage once painted in solemn repose and lost to time. Her effervescent light is a dim amber, a convergence of lantern light most visible in the night. Her touch is cold as one might expect, a shiver passing from skin to bone too easily.

In the dreamscapes she touches, she may seem warmer and alive, a more vibrant memory than the truth of her own current nature. It is a memory the Lady would share with very few, inspired by mood, thought, and memory.

The bloody phantom swelled for the Gravemother's attention, making her sea of following haunts blink out of sight of his appearance. Its voice spilled from the serpentine shape it took, multiple small leathery wings allowing it quick, unconventional movement.

“And you, Batfather,” the Keeper spoke as she offered out fingers as cold and hard as marble, “are quite the flatterer.

As the serpent brushed against her stony fingers in some pantomime of affection, it slickened her hands with blood.

" The dead have been chittering about your faith in a certain batty individual... is he really as bad as they say he is? "

A near admonishing glance was given to several spirits circling the Gravekeeper's skirts. Particular apparitions began to wink out of sight under her icy stare, even as she answered. "That certain 'batty individual' and I have had our little 'tiffs', but I'd count him to be quite reliable myself when put to the task."

Her focus rose again to the inquiring voice, even as a scarlet spectre seemed to manifest near her, as if the rumor brought it into existence. "My little ghostlings can be a quite protective over the one that minds them, that is all. And as far as my bat-loving friend is concerned?" Some dark amusement roved through the sepulchral echo of her voice. "I'm quite sure he can be as 'bad' as one might need, or even want him to be."

The unearthly light of the Gravekeeper's eyes landed with a subtle contempt for the question. "How very droll. But no, I find enough living trying to check off their bucket lists by trying to have at each other on top of a grave. Could be that I was foolish in the same way when I had breath, but those are years that no longer hold meaning for me."

Burying her spade in a strong section of sediment, the Keeper layered her hands over its pommel. "But I can entirely admit I'm quite comfortable in a graveyard. And I do find it quite exciting when I can make a foolish pair of lovers not so comfortable in a cemetery." A certain dark amusement pulled at her bruised lips then.

Despite some of her aggressive tendencies and macabre interests, the Gravekeeper operates seemingly under an old world formality of certain courtesy. She may very well like that she unnerves some by her mere presence, but she does not actively harass the undeserving with it. She may appreciate your bone structure and tell you so, but she will keep her interest for it as harmlessly humorous....most of the time.

There are times when she tips over into the not-so-courteous and can be quite incorrigible with her macabre sense of humor, and she sometimes treads ground with no concern for stepping on the living's sense of what is taboo. But for the most part, the Anna is not a threat unless she means to be. If one respects the Gravekeeper, she is usually inclined to be polite in kind.

However, there are some grudges that the Gravekeeper bears that no amount of imposed courtesy can keep her hatred from rushing through. For certain individuals, even certain memory-triggering words, the scales will tip into the abyss of wrong, and she does not often regret her impulsive reaction when she feels wronged.

Do they like children?

OC asks that reveal more than you think.

Anna has a soft spot for them, a soft spot that almost hurts to see them, usually drawn to recall how violently she lost her own in life. Lady Handhour, deep down, is still quite maternal in nature, and this is exhibited most toward little ones that are haunting without their bodies. She does tend to selfishly keep them with her as long as she can rather than help them move on. Some occupy as poltergeists at her mausoleum as the gentlest extensions of her will, and ever protective of the one who Keeps. But they are also the easiest spirits she is willing to part with if taken by approving hands, as children are not reliable contributers to the Forsaken as a whole.
