wolf 359 was so careful (and effective!) at keeping the focus on the hephaestus and away from earth (except for the goddard office) and I respect it but also I am at all times thinking about minkowski's husband dominik koudelka and eiffel's daughter anne and mace fisher's boyfriend corey and what they r doing and how they r coping and what their lives look like. does anne know about the "shuttle explosion"? what did they tell corey about what happened to mace? did dominik's secretary tell him about the call from the woman seemingly pretending to be his wife? and the question that haunts me every goddamn minute of every day: what happened to all of the crew's transmissions to their loved ones? all of the messages they recorded and sent back to earth, or so they thought? did goddard archive them and bury them deep in a server? did the hephaestus just transmit them into the void of space, with no real target, just voices pleading desperately for a connection, bouncing around the lonely stars? or did they never even make it off the hephaestus? was it programmed so it looked to everyone like they were outgoing to goddard, but they were never even recording in the first place? I hope that when lovelace made it back to earth, she went to go visit corey.

Anne Garcia is the daughter of Doug Eiffel and Kate Garcia. When she was a child, Doug had a drinking problem and Kate was awarded sole custody of Anne. Doug attempted to kidnap her away from her mother, and caused a car accident in which Anne was permanently deafened.
