Are there any fandoms I haven't written for but want to try?

YES! I would really like to write a TGCF fic sometime. I have an idea and everything but I haven't taken the leap yet.

I'd also love to write a LOTR fic but so far I haven't had any ideas yet. I know it'll come to me.

This is honestly one of my top 10 possibly canon one-shots of all time! 

For this Sharing Sunday I am recommending the phenomenal @annerbhp! All their stories are fantastic. From the fun half awake and almost there to the perfectly dramatic Armistice series to the sexy we can’t control (watch me unfold). There isn’t a story @annerbhp has written that I haven’t fallen in love with, but I’m not on drugs, I’m just in love is just so amazing it hold a high place of honor in my saved fic collection. 

We get to see Harry drugged with a love potion, which normally wouldn’t be something I’d ever want to witness, expect @annerbhp makes the whole thing become on big hinny shipping fest. From the moment Ginny enters the hospital room my shipper heart is beating a mile a minute. 

One of my favorite aspects of this fic is how in character everyone is. With a premise like this some stories could lose the core aspects of Harry or any of the others, but not in this fic! @annerbhp uses a premise we see in the HBP that I think is underused and I for one love it in this light!

I can’t recommend this one enough. If you haven’t read it... read it right now! If you have read it... well what’s stopping you from reading such a classic one more time?

Hi, Betts! Just finished listening to the ep of fansplaining you were on (it was great!) There's dozens of thing I want to ask you to expand on, but what I'd really like to say is that hearing your journey to writing/fandom really resonated. I came to fandom in my mid-20s and had never written before at all. Like the hosts mention, it often feels like most fic writers have been doing it their whole lives. But not all of us! It's a cool reminder that people can come to writing/fandom at any age.

(Also, thank you for all the awesome things you said about writing. It was inspiring and so clearly put and reminds me of why I love writing.)

oh wow, it’s great to know someone else who found fandom in their 20s! honestly i was super self-conscious to admit that i found fandom so late and i always feel a little like an interloper, but then i remember that all our stories of how and when we found fanfiction/fandom/writing are important.

Hi!! Do you happen to know any fics about Hinny with huge word count and a lot of chapters? All I ever find is one-shots :( I don't mind if its canon or AU, or maybe people from this page that usually writes prompts about them? Pleaseee

Hi anon! You can always sort fics on AO3 by word count if you’re hoping to find long ones. Here are a few options I found for you - please note that I have not read all of these and thus only recommend some of them based on the author and/or a quick skim of the beginnings. Unfortunately I don’t have the kind of schedule that allows me to read many 100k+ fics every week!

This is a really excellent and funny modern AU with bonus Ron Weasley. Well worth the read! I enjoyed it thoroughly.
