I saw a post recently by @theunaestheticstudyblr about academic wins and how they can change over time depending on what you're able to do. I realized how much my academic goals, and goals in general have changed since the start of this school year. (I've reblogged their post)
in September, my goals were to
-finish assignments in their entirety
-get 100% on assignments
-get at least 70% on midterms
-study until 9 pm every night to get everything done
-fully clean my room every other week
now my goals for the last few weeks have been:
-do what I can on assignments
-keep up with notes in class
-ask for help when I need it
-take evenings off to catch up on rest
-do bits of cleaning when I have time
my mental health has been steadily getting worse over the last month and I can feel the burnout hitting a lot harder than last year. for one of my classes, I've only submitted a single assignment fully completed. and that's okay. I failed one of my midterms. and that's okay. I went a whole month without cleaning my room during this semester. and that's okay. I have to give myself more credit for what I've been able to do.
I submitted my last assignment for my least favourite class. I've really been enjoying what we're leaning in calc. my Latin class is always so much fun. my lab reports have gotten so much better this year. I've been able to make my weekly dnd sessions with my friends and be silly and goofy. my friendships at school have gotten stronger and I'm happy with all of that.
everything that I'm able to be proud of my doing is a win ❤️
