Happy birthday, Michael!

Michael asked Liberty out on Valentine’s Day, and she eagerly agreed. Even though they couldn’t get married when they got older as it was, civil rights protests were breaking out across the country. With any luck, by the time they graduated from university, they would be able to legally marry.

Annette could barely pull herself away from her son when she wasn’t at one of her classes. He was all she had left of August, after all; who could really blame her?

Annette knew her little boy was getting bigger by the day. Soon, he’d be too big to want to be read to or tucked into bed, so she was going to savor every moment she had.

Annette loved being a grandmother. While she wished Michael, Liberty, and their children lived with her, just like she lived with her parents until their death, she was just as glad to have them just across the street.

The remaining Morettis tried to have a good Thanksgiving, though it seemed fate wasn’t quite done with them yet. After narrowly saving Richard from being burned to death, the family decided it was time for a big change.

Richard was getting older, and  he just couldn’t keep up with the farm by himself. Rosemary worked full time, and Annette had her hands full with Michael. Besides, the house was far too big for so few people to live in it. So, with heavy hearts, they packed up everything they loved and bought a new construction in town.
