Aka my first time making a whole collection, instead of just dropping things as I make them. Wowie! I feel like a real creator now. Maybe it's finally time to sell out and institute 3-month early access and join the marketplace!!!
Anyway–
I've been rewatching Anne with an E and planning a little historical gameplay-ish project, and as always the 1890s-1900s have been heavily on my mind. Today I bring a humble offering of pastoral countryside fashions - including a BGC conversion and mesh edit of the new boater hat, as well as a set of dresses for girls, and some daywear for ladies.
9 items, BGC, disabled for random. Individual item info below the cut!
Three variations of the same basic dress, for girls of varying levels of fancyness. The ruffle around the collar of the Diana dress is ripped straight from @vintagesimstress, so many thanks for her open TOU!
The Ruby and Anne dresses take their textures from Diana, so the Diana dress is required if you want the other two to work. Each dress comes in my 30 solids and 24 of @trillyke's plaids, as per usual. Located in the long dress category. The Ruby dress has had the top ruffle removed, and the Anne dress has slimmer sleeves and a less poofy skirt - because we can't all have nice things, even when we really really want them. Sorry Anne.
The apron overlay is found in rings, and it works with all three dresses - as well as possibly with other dresses, though I haven't fully tested it. The overlay for the collar ruffle won't show up on Ruby and Anne, as seen in the cover image, but it may clip with textures if you try and use it on other dresses. This overlay also comes in 30 solids and 24 plaids!
Marilla Blouse / Prissy Dress / Boater Hat
As I was making my Marilla sim for my save file, I found that I really didn't have a lot of good options for simple, plain Victorian-ish blouses, especially given Marilla's open disregard for puff sleeves. So, I made one! This is a recolor of a blouse from L&D, but it has been made BGC so everyone can enjoy! This comes in 30 solids and 24 plaids.
The Prissy dress is a combination of the ever-beloved Edwardian dress from Get Together and the ruffly top from the sleepover kit. It's perfect for tea in the garden, strolling around town, and abandoning an ill-advised marriage to go to University. It comes in my usual 30 solids with a white base, 6 colors with a black base, and 10 extra pastel swatches.
The boater hat is instrumental to the turn-of-the-century-pastoral-aesthetic, and I really loved this one from the prairie kit, but the crown was just awkwardly tall. I shortened it as much as possible, recolored it to hell, and converted it for children and toddlers. 30 ribbon colors on a beige base, plus 8 of them also on black.
A delicate antique porcelain doll with carefully styled curls, a beautifully detailed dress, and hand-painted features. With its timeless charm and nostalgic presence, it brings a soft touch of history and warmth to any nursery or bedroom🤎

I really like trains guys. Nothing hits better than a fraught goodbye at a train station. I don't make the rules, I just make the builds to enforce 'em.
More info and download under the cut 😘
I've had this build made for a minute, I originally made it for my crossed wires short story, and then I realized I wanted to make it cc-free for download. Honestly that ended up being WAY more of an effort than I anticipated because the open roof is such an important part of this build, and we don't have a non-cc way to change the undersides of roofs (EA please I'm begging). Did I end up TOOLing a random fence debug asset up there? Yes. Yes I did. So be careful with the roof friends its a little sensitive. Move objects on is a necessity.
Yes, this is based on Red Dead Redemption 2, let's be real many of my builds are. Even has the gaming table at the end, but at least you don't have to work on the gambler challenge there, that's a real blessing.
I hope all you guys enjoy this and get some fun play out of it. Honestly it also works great as an open-air museum for a modern save, when I was taking photos I had it on triple speed to get the lighting right and watched a ton of sims just like wander around and I felt like I was absolutely watching them visit a little museum. So this one REALLY pulls double duty.
As always please tag me if you use it, seeing my builds in action is one of my favorite ways to get serotonin these days.
Fully playtested, but this is probably more of a screenshot lot than not, there's not a ton to do. I do not think the easel is functional, I think I may have sacrificed that for aesthetics. If you delete the box/crate under it will work fine.
Along the bending river through Henford with its great green plains and woodlands, lies Finchwick - a bustling merchant town ready for you to start your legacy.
The year is 1381. Peasants are revolting. Will the noble class hold on to their power?
With the release of the Royalty and Legacy pack I’ve had an itch to start a new decades challenge beginning in the middle ages. However this is always such a daunting task - starting with nothing in a world that doesn’t quite fit. So I decided to learn the TOOL mod and decorated the landscape of this starter medieval save file to match my wild medieval fantasies. Using very limited cc and 3 packs (cottage living, horse ranch and life & death) - This is an empty but decorated save file of a medieval Henford on Bagley and it is ready for you to make your own. Made for simmers starting The Ultimate Decades Challenge or if you like me just want to live a quiet medieval life in immersive surroundings.
All pre-made lots have been deleted, a blank canvas surrounded by idyllic medieval townhouses. The save file uses the Blowtorch mod and a few CC deco items by @simverses - all links to downloads are in my patreon linked below.
I’ll will forever be grateful for Simverses making all my medieval dreams come true in the Sims. If you are new to the Ultimate Decades Challenge I highly recommend you check out their cc and overrides. And for more accessible rules for first time decades players I can recommend @kosmichippie version of the challenge explained on their notion page here.
So, this one is inspired (heavily, I tried my best to replicate the main details) by Lucille Sharpe's black velvet dress from Crimson Peak. Due to the skirt shape with a lot of sculptural elements, it sometimes morphs a little weirdly, but nothing too unnatural for TS4 meshes.
Known problems:
the decorative mesh with tassels on the right side clips with the dress (you can see it better on the blue dress in the preview). I cannot fix it because I do not understand the reason. To me, weight, uv_1, and vertex colors look fine, but still the problem occurs.
on bigger sims skirt goes through the tabletop. A little but still.
That's it. Mind the polycount. I do not like these numbers, but it is what it is for the amount of decorative elements this dress has.
download:
simfileshare | patreon (I'm still working through it, but you can download this cc here if it's not your day on simfileshare)
If you find some problems, tell me. I am only human and might have missed something. Holes, textural, and morphing problems are not intended and need to be fixed.
Cathedral bells from many decades ago still sound in their hearts. 🕊️
ABEL & IRENE REUTHER 💍
Young scion to a prominent international bank, Abel Reuther, tied the knot with Irene Catherine Reuther (Née Tallien) on a June day in St. Patrick's Cathedral. The wedding reflected the prominent fashion trends of the time, particularly in Irene's ceremony and reception dress. Afterwards, the two honeymooned in St. Tropez.
The two grew up in the same New York City social circles, but Abel took new interest in Irene after her four year absence attending boarding school in Switzerland. Abel began to court Irene and eventually escorted her at her debutante ball. The two were engaged shortly after, but planned the wedding a few years later, when both of them were twenty-seven years old. This was in respect to Irene's desire to receive a master's degree in music. The unfortunate early passing of Abel's father further delayed the wedding date, as Abel found himself far too busy with unexpectedly taking the reins of an international bank. Despite delays, the two were elated with the elaborate wedding. They continue to reminisce frequently, nearly forty years after.
