as for a book rec, i'm only about halfway through now we shall be entirely free by andrew miller so i may put the cart before the horse upon finishing it but so far it's throttling me. saddest soggiest man alive who may or may not have committed a napoleonic war time travels to remote scottish islands to collect folk songs. we're halfway through and have Not gotten to the islands yet. it rocks. there's something so specific about the prose that makes me crazy in the same way that we the drowned did. it's economic without being flat with these very simple yet affecting images thrown in every dozen or so pages that leave me gobsmacked. exactly what i needed after a DEEPLY underwhelmed previous histfic read

Les Miserables Good movie, better play, amazing book. 🇫🇷 Reference- Good reference is important for realistic work. I'm always on the lookout for interesting things to draw. I look for intriguing compositions, shapes, face angles, shadows, expressions, etc. I'm almost never drawing because of who the person is. I save everything that seems interesting. When it's drawing time I find one that speaks to me and try to capture that element which made it stand out. I had this one done over the weekend. Which is something new to me. Its first time for me to paint caricature in colour like this. Maybe because it’s first time, so I was worry how. It going to turn out. As I wanted to be prefect, I was lose sight on what was the practice for. After I had a chat with my brother, help me to find my focus again. The key is about practice, learning not perfection. That’s the point I decide to take on class learn about the subject I don’t know. So I can learn and improve.
