"BatCat is just about sex and lust"
The fact this isn't even REALLY about their relationship but about the fact that y'all can't talk about Selina without slut shaming her is crazy.
No person that has read a comic will tell you their relationship is about lust, and just the mention of it is the pure confirmation that y'all never stopped seeing her as a sex worker and will never accept another representation of her in any way— it is vile, considering that she was forced into that life since she was a teen, being a victim of sexual trafficking, too.
This is also the very reason why many DC fans just can't accept or recall when Selina and her relationship with Bruce is being mischaracterized, for them she has always been like that because they are too embedded with the idea of her being a sexual maniac with a ""beastiality"" inside of her.
It's the constant push on the demonization of Selina, not seeing and referring to her as a human being who did what she could to survive an environment she was forced in, but as if she was just naturally codependent to sexual traits to survive and be with others, as if she was a succubus.
And that's why, for them, Selina will always be considered unworthy of the love and attention from their golden boy Bruce, because she's not "wifey material" enough for him— because even if victim of abuse, her body is too tainted to deserve love.
Unfortunately, they can't erase her relationship with Bruce, but what they can do is deny the impact she has had on his life and vice versa, making their relationship look like quick hook-ups— because the only acceptable way for her to establish a relationship is in a promiscuous way, as if people only could have a sexual value to her and she had nothing special to keep people attached other than sex. Especially, if we're about to talk to their puritan king Bruce Wayne.
No matter how many TIMES they have been proved the other way.
I think all this has been said over and over again for years till now, but this whole idea of Bruce feelings towards Selina being solely about lust comes from ignorance, mischaracterization and misogyny, reflecting on the whore-fication of a whole's character personality and traits— which is funny as fuck considering this is the same people who are always on a ride or die when they spot any mischaracterization or misogynistic trait against any other female character.
