Working this morning until Noon, then excited to head home and clean my poor little car which as been sadly neglected... (she’s dirty). After that I may or may not go for a run with the puppy, depending on if the rain holds out. 

Sunday my work is taking us to the Jay’s game! I am super pumped and so is Hubby. It will be a ton of fun, even if it does cut into my Sunday morning sleeping in time!

Unfortunately I'll be working all weekend... Story of my life. I never ever get weekends free to myself because I always have to work *cries*! I hope your weekend is a lot more exciting annie-moves!!!!

Plans for this weekend...

- To sit down and reevaluate my goals - Spend time with my family - Go through my closet and get rid of stuff I don’t like - Go with the flow instead of against it - Clean up the patio - Look into Weight Watchers (second go round) - Watch a movie with the fam - Follow up on what we talked about in therapy

5 Things That Make Me Happy:

1. Working from home on Fridays - this makes me happy because I get the chance to get some chores out of the way (laundry etc) whilst I work which frees up my weekend for more fun things!

2. My friends and family make me happy. Looking at you hsophiec  :)

3. Warm, sunny weather with a cooler breeze. Alternatively the sort of thunderstorm where you can hear the rain loudly bouncing off the roof and yet know you’re ok because you’re inside where it’s warm and dry and in case of floods you live on top of a hill on the top floor of some flats!

4. The first sip of a perfect-temperature cup of tea after you’ve been too long without one.

5. Doughnuts. Doughnuts make me very happy.

My days been okay! Looking forward to getting home...

I’m a technical consulting analyst at a big technology/management consulting company. At the moment I’m supporting the design team in the early stages of a large/long project at a financial institution. It’s basically just a lot of paperwork and diagrams! Definitely not my ideal job, but it’s fine for paying the bills. 

Whilst it is technically a job that should be a steady 9-5.30 (except for the times when we’re busy - getting the job done comes before all else, I’ve done 8-9.30 once before), the fact that I’m working out of town adds just that little extra stress/tiredness! When I was working out of town last year they included travel times in our normal workday, so it wasn’t unusual for people to get to the office after 11am on Monday and leave between 3-4 on Thursday, here we have to travel to and from Edinburgh outside of the normal workday. So have to leave the house at 5:40 on a Monday and get home around 10pm on a Thursday, but at least Fridays I can work from home and get all my housework done at the same time, freeing up my weekends!

Hey Anna! How's your Tuesday going? 😊

Oh my god I’m so tired! It’s not actually gone too badly - I’m on my first day back at work after being off sick all last week, so it was up at 5am to be in Edinburgh for just after 9 this morning, which is never fun. But the project we’re working on has hit a little block, so there wasn’t a huge amount to do today, which was great because I crashed mid-afternoon and haven’t done anything productive since! I need to learn how to fall asleep on the nights before I go up to Edinburgh - I try to get a decent amount of sleep by going to bed at 10:30, but I never fall asleep until after 1, so get less than 4 hours :(. Which is odd, because I never have quite that much trouble falling asleep any other night - I’m hoping it sorts itself out!

But anyway, I’ve just got myself settled into the hotel that will be my home for the next two nights - it’s nice, even if it is an hour away from the office. My plan to go straight into healthy evening meals this week has gone out of the window once I saw the description of the burger, but I’ve got this hotel booked 3 or 4 more times over the next 2 months so I’ll stick to healthy then and ‘go crazy’ the two nights I’m here this week!

I’m planning on trying to do some yoga later this evening and do a couple of other things for myself, but I’m so tired I may just eat and fall asleep!
