watched Annihilation today.
Whilst it being scientifically shady, I really enjoyed the movie. I do think the science is alien-y possible, but the explanation is wonky for a good biologist & physicist working together. But I didn’t mind it much with it all being very alien and the scientists being under its influence.
What did bother me, personally, were the flashforwards/flashbacks. I’ve always been a fan of good chronological storytelling.
Still, a movie to watch, with an almost all female cast except for two minor dude roles that usually get given to women to give motivation to the male lead(s). The picture is possibly the perfect crossbreed between beautiful and scary.
