Back to the dissertation grind with some secondary sources in the library. Need to have these read and added to the plan ASAP because I’m meeting my supervisor next week, and so far nothing to show him...

ok this might be a shout into the void but does anyone know if it's possible for a foreign student to become TA for a foreign language class in the us? (e.g: i'm French and want to apply to be a French TA during my semester abroad in the US) also, how can i apply to be a TA?
Something different to read this week: a relatively modern romance novel, The Night Watch. Really refreshing and gripping, so I’ve very much enjoyed settling into bed in order to read it.
Forever planning this essay. Big windows and a sunny day definitely helps, but I haven’t picked the easiest topic to write about
Bed, a pencil and a radical woman of the 18th century. Thank you romanticism course for these moments. If anyone is into feminist history I highly recommend Mary Wollstonecraft’s A Vindication of the Rights of Woman, the language and rhetoric can be a little dense but her message is pretty great for its time.
Golden hour light on the patio.
Today has been mostly working on my Literary Theory project, but that’s a bit of a slog at the moment so I’m taking some time “off” this evening to read for my Victorian lit exam. Uncomfortable as it can be to read, King Solomon’s Mines is going to work excellently as an exam text, as it gives an insight into Victorian colonialism, travel and attitudes to race.
Hiya, hope you’re feeling a bit better 💕 can I ask 5, 6 and 7 for the ask game?
Thank youuuuuuuuuuu ♡
5. summer or winter?
winter! i just love being able to wrap up warm
6. realist, optimist, or pessimist?
i’d say i was a realist but i’m pretty sure everyone else thinks i’m a pessimist. definitely not an optimist though. i like to be prepared for the worst.
7. rain or sunshine?
rain. i’m british so i think i’m programmed to like the rain. i prefer a grim, rainy day to overpowering sunshine.
ask game that tells a lot about you
