so anyways Joraverse!Ken is an anodite but unlike Gwen who is blue in this au, his mana is still magenta and he develops into being the healer. He's not equipped to fight aliens and its his anodite side is how he was able to revert so easily back into a human after getting turned into a highbreed. He also some sort of a sore spot because before his grandma kinda looked down on him for not getting the Spark even tho he's a late bloomer. So there's that and his dismay over not being much of a help to his family, but he finds his calling as the team healer.

Yall in my AU Ken (gwen's big bro) has healing magic because...

Male Anodites tend to have a lite mana manip, meaning they can use for sensing and magical healing. There is a lot of stigma back home due to Anodyne being a matriarchal society who values high level of Mana; which a lot of male//presenting anodites don't really have. So Ken has to make do with his low power and decides to go into medical field with them. He can perform basic defense spells which Gwen taught him in secret in case he ever gets in a pickle. Plus his mana IS pink because let's be honest we need more pink-coded male characters in fiction and Gwen's magic remains blue anyways so it's a pretty neat twist on gender stereotypes!

And maybe a scene of him calling out verdona and that just because he's not as strong as gwen doesn't make him any less valuable? Like people appreciate his "lack" of mana because he uses them to help people and it's a lesson on not looking down on those considered weak cuz most the time they're not even CONCERNED about power???
