C O N D I T I O N I N G: There’s TONS of information on the web about the benefit of conditioning and deep conditioning your hair. BUT, there are still a TON of women who don’t believe the hype! 🧐 IMO, it doesn’t matter whether I use a store bought or a DIY, conditioning my hair is an important step in the overall maintenance of my hair. IMO, the hair-industry markets conditioning products to us with so many different names, that it gets a little dicey to understand it all! 😉 Masques, Deep Conditioners, Rinse-Out Conditioners, Intense Treatments, 3-Minute Miracles, DIY, yada yada yada •••> are just a few of the endless adjectives used to describe “what it is”! IMO, the conditioning-step is something that will correct the pH balance of your hair & scalp imparted by the cleansing process and DEPENDING on which one you choose (based on your hair’s needs), it should hydrate, strengthen, moisturize, soften, nourish and repair your hair, thereby promoting shine & luster back to your hair. (Whew 🤓 that’s a word!) TODAY, I deep conditioned my hair with a DIY (homemade) conditioner that I made with fresh avocados and Ayurvedic herbs (hence the 🥑 green color). TIP: #anomtip If you don’t condition your hair, and your dry is dry, brittle and not thriving, then I suggest you start conditioning your hair regularly and evaluate if that improves the situation. TIP: #anomtip If you already condition your hair regularly, but your hair is STILL dry, brittle and not thriving, then I suggest you try different conditioning process and THEN evaluate your wash routine! 😉 Only clean hair will receive 100% of the benefit of a deep conditioning process. #theanomchronicles is the story of my #naturalhair and how #igrewthis 🌸🍃🙌🏽 https://www.instagram.com/p/BpfJKnRhv_E/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=udlh8h3g4u6f
