Pairing: Gradence Summary: Credence did not know if there was a God... Because if there was, his God did not love him as much as Mr. Graves. His God left him in a home that beat him, to the whims of a woman who hated him, to wail beneath the belt that could not feel him but he couldn’t not feel, and never showed him how special he could be. How much more he could be. Let him think he was but a unloved boy in a house of many unloved children, made only to spread the word of a loving God that did not love him. Not like Mr. Graves.

I was invited to join an amazing group of writers for this Anon Challenge. The idea was to see if people could guess the writer’s work based off their writing style. It was a lot of fun, and now that everyone has been revealed, I thought I’d share on here!

ACOTAR fav: Cassian. Hands down. 

TOG fav: Nehemia. I can…I can choose her, right?

ACOTAR least fav: Nesta. 

TOG least fav: Cairn. Can I choose him? He isn’t a villain. 

Similarities between favs: Cassian and Nehemia would both die to save their people. Nehemia actually did die for a chance to save her people. They’re both incredibly strong and have amazing hearts, kind of like the sick-kick, though I wouldn’t exactly call them this. Both truly amazing people I love them, I would die for them, they could kill me and I would thank them. I would die for them, but they wouldn’t let me. I love them. 

Similarities between least favs: No? 

Would I ship my favs: I WOULD PAY TO SEE THIS. TAKE ALL MY MONEY. LITERALLY TAKE MY LIFE IF THAT’S WHAT IT TAKES. TAKE MY LIFE TO BRING NEHEMIA BACK. 

In the TOG world Cassian would have been Nehemiah’s General Commander and he would have done anything to keep her safe and make sure the people of Eyllwe were freed from Adarlan and now Erawan and they would have slowly fallen in love and I think a life-or-death situation would have made them confess it. 

In the ACOTAR world it would have been a star-crossed lovers thing because I’m pretty sure Nehemia would be in the Summer Court. So maybe in ACOWAR the gang goes to the Summer Court again and Nehemia is like a Lordess High Fae or whatever and she agrees to help them because she wants to save her people, as the only savior™ I recognize, and Cassian would see a lot of himself in her and Nehemia would kind of see herself in him too, but obviously they’re different. AGAIN, I WOULD SELL EVERYTHING I HAVE AND EVERYTHING I AM FOR THIS. WHAT. A CONCEPT. THE ONLY SAVIORS I WOULD ACTUALLY TRUST TO SAVE ME. 

Would I ship my least favs: …..No? 

Which favorite kills the other: IMMA NEED YOU TO HAVE SEVERAL SEATS. SIT DOWN. YOU JUST MADE ME SHIP THEM?? WHAT IS THIS. In the TOG world, Nehemia kills Cassian. They were probably captured by either Erawan himself or one of his Valg Princes and it was one of those selfless kills. They were going to put the collar around Cassian and Nehemia knew, SHE KNEW, Cassian would rather die than be a slave and have to kill her and the people of Eyllwe. So Nehemia just hugs him tightly and whispers in his ear and they’re both trying so hard not to cry and Nehemia whispers, “I love you so much, Cassian. Your death will not be in vain” and Nehemia stabs him and he dies cradled in her lap and she screams and this death is the one that makes her so strong, the Gods are trembling. Aelin Galathynius? Never heard of her in this world. MEET NEHEMIA YTGER. MAKING THE GODS TREMBLE BEFORE HER. 

In the ACOTAR world, Cassian kills Nehemia. In this world they havent confessed their love for each other and they’ve been tip-toeing around their feelings and of course there’s Nesta and the war so it’s a bit hard to try to figure out what they’re feeling. Again, it’s one of those selfless kills. I can not picture anything else. One of those flying wing monsters, or whatever, the Attor’s children, the ones that attacked Velaris, whatever they’re called; they take Nehemia. And obviously she’s going to be used against Prythian so Cassian has to lift up his bow and he’s just watching her and tears are clouding his vision. And Nehemia just nods and somehow he can see that and he lets the arrow fly and it pierces through her and the Attor-like monster thing. IM CRYING GOOD BYE I DONT DESERVE THIS. 

Which least favorite kills the other: Nesta kills Cairn. 

Do the favorites mourn: IN BOTH UNIVERSES NEHEMIAH AND CASSIAN BOTH MOURN THE OTHER. WHAT DO YOU MEAN ‘DO THEY MOURN’?? In the TOG Nehemia mourns quietly and she keeps fighting the war and the same goes for Cassian in ACOTAR. But when its all over they realize just how much they’ve lost and they just scream, and scream, and scream until somehow it doesnt hurt anymore. But in TOG Nehemia has to rule Eyllwe, without Cassian now. And in ACOTAR Cassian still has to be General Commander, but he just has this one loss that will never fade.

Were the favorites in love: IN BOTH WORLDS MY CHILDREN NEHEMIA YTGER AND CASSIAN LAST-NAME WERE BOTH IN LOVE.
