39. What’s something about your writing that you pride yourself on?

Probably the fact that lots of different people can see themselves in the x reader fics I write (or just enjoy reading them I guess)

43. Talk about a positive experience with fanfiction or the fanfiction community that you will always remember.

I have so many positive experiences !! I think a massive continuous positive experience is the amount of encouragement I have received, through comments and reblogs (thanks sm) 💖

I think probably the first ever reblog I had on here of my badly titled first one shot (creatively named “spike/reader one shot”). It just really meant a lot to me that someone actually wanted to not only read something I wrote but share it with others !!

YAY MORE WEIRD WORDS:

epeolatry for Giles and smucker for spike or xander - 🏜

A/N: I hope you don’t mind I only chose to write one this time !! Not just because I couldn’t find a proper definition of smucker lol

Epeolatry: the worship of words.

Giles x reader. Reader is a library assistant.

Giles had worked in the library a year before you joined him. A library assistant had been something of a hindrance in his eyes and he had let you know it in his every move.

This carried on for a while, until he found so many wonderful aspects of your personality. Such as the way that you so well adapted to your role that by default became a kind of assistant watcher as well as librarian. Buffy and the others were always in and wherever they went, trouble always seemed to appear.

Giles found himself captivated in conversation with you, after all was revealed about the slayer and the hellmouth. But mostly, you bonded over the way you both adored the written word. Worshipped it in fact. Epeolatry, was something that came to mind.

Eventually, you found yourself getting excited to come to work. Because it meant you would see him. It meant you could spend your hours in a contentment that you had never before discovered. Just his mere presence made you feel safe.

His attentions soon turned to you along with the words he so clearly adored. He worshipped the very ground you walked upon. And of course, you did the same. He was so kind and understanding you had fallen for him long before it had even registered in your mind.

There were the long evenings reading by the dim glow of light that you had to move closer together to share and the lovingly written notes you would swap between each other. He appreciated your insight and you adored the way he spoke so highly of you, especially because of how things had started.

You could only hope that you had even a fraction of space in his heart that he harboured in your own. You would soon see, through a beautifully bound copy of your favourite book and the accompanying description, just how deeply he felt for you.
