“He” regarded the other man in silence as he sat in his dank cell, with weary eyes that stared down the darkly dressed man with clear defiance. “He” cracks up a grin, and a chuckle emerges from his lips. No longer was he dressed in his regal attire, instead dressed like a common man. Despite this, Allen continues on with his prideful display. 

“Oh, what is there left to say, my dearest adviser? it’s not like i have much to say, other than how surprised I am that you’ve become cahoots with these savages.”

“He” lets out a strained laugh, and gradually does “his” gaze soften. It was a surprise, to see this man becoming apart of the rebels against the Kingdom. Actually, “he” wasn’t surprised because he knew that Mär would become apart of something like this. Albeit on the reserved side, he was able to rally the troops even though he wasn’t as versed with a blade like some. He was someone that “he” could consider family, at one point, and perhaps “he” still does. “He” wonders if he feels the same. Apparently, he didn’t look too closely because the man had made a major mistake.

Riliane twists parts of her mangled hair that was kept loosely in a ponytail. Her blue eyes meet with his own set, and her facade falls apart. A frown takes its place as she stares up at her step brother,

“You know, you and Allen, you two aren’t too different. Prideful in your own right, and equally arrogant. ” She keeps a straight face, when speaking toward him, “ Allen wanted revenge because of how Kyle stole Micahela away from him. And you’re doing it, to get revenge for Lady Therese.” She speaks her step mother’s name with melancholy, “....isn’t that right, März?”

red string of fate.

51. Our muses were star-crossed lovers in a passed life, but in this life they are destined to never fully fall in love with anyone else, but they’ll never remember their pasts fully either.

Sometimes he sees him in his dreams. A white haired boy with a smile that shines like the moonlight, his hand outstretched to him. 

Sometimes he dreams of looking at the full moon through a window that seems to cage him in when suddenly the boy appears, breaking him free of the confinements of the room. Sometimes he dreams of the two of them out in the forest, merely frolicking around without a care in the world. Sometimes, he dreams of a farewell between them, ending with a kiss as the sun began to make way for the moon.

Noël can never remember the entirety of the dream once he wakes up, but that detail always sticks with him. He wakes up from them feeling a kind of bliss he’s never felt while awake, but also a sense of sorrow he can’t quite explain.

He pays these feelings no mind; they’re not of any importance. Besides, such feelings were for the weak. Of course, they tend to disappear over the course of the day, only returning the morning after he’s dreamt. 

That is, until he meets Märchen von Friedhof.

A pale complexion and black hair streaked with white — Noël doesn’t know why he’s reminded of the boy that constantly appears in his dreams, but he is. The feeling takes him so suddenly, all he can do is stare at the other.

“Are you all right?” The question is asked more out of politeness than actual concern. 

He hadn’t realized that he was staring and couldn’t help but feel a bit embarrassed. “I’m fine.” 

Taking another look at him, he walks towards the piano he’s seated at. “So you’re Märchen?”

In all honesty, Noël knew squat about the man he would be collaborating with besides the basics — a classical artist who’d only done solo work up until this point. He initially didn’t want to work with him, only imagining the kind of disaster that would result from mixing rock and classical music, but at his record label’s insistence, he agreed to it.

And it’d be a lie if said he minded (Though he can’t quite place why).

A nod was the answer to his question. “You are Noël, then.” He offers his hand to him. “I am not wholly familiar with your previous work, but I look forward to working with you nevertheless.”

“That’s me.” He says, taking Märchen’s hand. In that moment he feels a spark that he isn’t sure that the other feels as well. Seeing his blank expression, Noël chooses to ignore it. Must be his mind playing tricks on him. “Can’t say I’m too familiar with you either.” He lets go of the other’s hand, feeling a slight twinge of disappointment that he also chooses to ignore. “Let’s make this a good one, yeah?”

“Good” is debatable, but they get the job done. The process is far from smooth, as was expected, but the results are better than he had anticipated. 

Though with the success of their work, Noël can’t help but feel disappointed.

He has no apparent reason to, of course, but the feeling remained with no explanation. He does notice, however, it came soon after their recording sessions had ended.

Even after some time had passed and the two hadn’t had a proper conversation for who knows how long. Even after the two of them had moved onto bigger things. Even after he began his relationship with marie*marie. Noël had little contact with Märchen and, for some reason, that bothered him. 

He eventually came to realize that the sorrow he felt for Märchen was the same sorrow he felt for the boy in his dreams. But still, he couldn’t figure out why he felt that way.

No matter. Things that couldn’t be answered frustrated him, and so he ignored these feelings as well. He had better things to do than dwell on frivolous subjects.

Headcanons 06: Justice

For someone who experienced young how lacking of justice was the world he lived in, talking about the concept feels like speaking of an impossible dream at times. Justice, a world where those who tramp over the powerless in their pursue of an even bigger power don't exist...

How can that exist when humans are only playthings for higher beings?

Even so, even if that realization haunts him from the moment he discovered the truth of the world... He tries to achieve something as close to the utopy as possible for him. As for what form takes justice to him, that is an easy answer: the freedom of the individual as long as it doesn't hurt others.

He does know that it isn't a perfect concept: there are ocassions where you must kill or be killed, so to speak, and many times it's necessary to take into account other factors... The world isn't just that kind or simple, gods or not.

However, he does believe that such an idea should be at the core of any attempt to achieve something as distant as "justice". And so, he acts following that idea to make of the world just a bit better, bringing kindness to those who are lacking on it and trying to give strength to those who lack it to protect their own life.

He will get involved in almost any event in which he considers that some help is necessary, as long as it is inside his abilities.

He tried to look to the land under them. A bad idea, as it made the dizziness even worse than before.

The whole area that they were overflying seemed to be filled with the scent of death, of blood. It made even breathing difficult and Gouran, who he was riding, was starting to experience problems to keep with his pace. A shirei weakened when their kirin did, after all. It was his fault... Even if he couldn't help it, seeing him like that hurt.

And, guilt aside, the situation couldn't just keep on for long.

"Taiho, in the current situation..." Gouran called him, using a serious tone that spoke of the importance of his message. "Going any further could be dangerous."

The kirin nodded ever so slightly. At least, they should wait until he recovered somewhat of the sickening odour of blood. But there was any place where they could rest in the area? Trying to focus his sight, Taiki looked around in a desperated search for any place to rest. Ah, that... that was a forest, right?

Perhaps there the smell of blood that impregnated the area eaten away by sickness would be low enough to allow some rest.

"Gouran, get us there, please." He pointed the forest with his trembling hand and, just some seconds later, the course had changed to advance towards the woods. As quick as the shirei was, it didn't took long to reach the forest. It wasn't perfect, but at least the smell lessened ever so slightly. Maybe for the next day... they would have the strength to manage and go away.  Finally, he dismounted the red beast, who was quickly replaced by Sanshi. The Toutetsu needed the rest, and so it was better for the Nyoukai to guard over their Lord. The boy sat near to one of the trees in the area, using Sanshi's warm leopard body as pillow.

All ignorant of the true nature of the forest in which he had decided to rest.

．:*･° Her growing interest on Vanishing Starlight pushed her into covering every single note related to them, this helped her to get in contact with the members, and with the handsome vocalist that gained a lot of her attention.

Somehow the news about a collaboration reached her ears, quite an interest mix between two musical genres that apparently do not fix with each other, so all the fans -herself included- were looking forward to said release... But it was better if she got all the details before that, so obviously an interview was important.

The young lolita arrived to the place where they accorded to meet. She carried a suitcase with her, inside it there were some things reserved to special guests, if this person was going to work with Noël, then it was better to treat him in the same way.

A man was already there... Huh, she was not late, it was the exact time they scheduled everything... But there was no proof of him being the musician she searched for, better to ask.  

"Märchen von Friedhof? I'm marie*marie from V-ROCK HEAVEN magazine, we have an interview with you."
