Independent RP blog for Elefseus from the 6th Story (Moira) of Sound Horizon. This blog works with different timelines, so please read about them before plotting. It will be a pleasure to RP with everyone, OCs included! There are a modern version of the character for those potentially interested. In relationship with: prinzessinrosen Sidebar by Kyumart. Heâs heard this before, from a faraway memory. Heâs dreamt of it many times, of the comforting words of a woman long forgotten and buried. Elefâs reassurance causes for the little prince to sob harder, his emotions spilling all over the place. He heaves a few times, trying to once again to gather his bearings during this period.
These reassuring words, oh theyâve been said to him twiceâ from the two people he had gotten comfortable with, before their demise. He slowly raises his head, revealing his tear stained face. At least for now, his breath has slowed down, despite some tears still falling down his cheeks.Â
âThank you, Va-Vati, Iâm glad to knowâŚ.â He says, his voice cracking a bit while saying this, he takes another deep breath, and seems to have calmed a bit now, and there seems to be a deep resolve in his red eyes. â I couldnât protect the people I loved before you because I was weak, I still am weakâŚ.âÂ
He wears a tired apologetic smile now, ââŚVati, do you think you can help me get stronger?â
Elefseus couldnât help but to appreciate the determination in the kidâs eyes. Did he look like that in the long, long past? Hurt and scared, März still had a fire in his eyes. A smile came to the adultâs lips. His son was already strong, he just needed to realize his potential.
âOf course. Letâs protect those we treasure together.â He patted Märzâs head before holding his hand once again. âStrength isnât just fighting prowess, but many other things... itâll be hard, but Iâm sure you can do it.â
He looked away for a moment, wondering about what to do. Self-defense was an important skill to have, but he wanted to give him other weapons... Wars were far from the only battlefield at the castle.
âIâll teach you everything I know, so no enemy brings you fear anymore. For now, thought, letâs go to sleep... Iâm sure you are tired.â
The child from that day would never find himself broken, driven to the abyss, like those before him. The wolf would bare his fangs to destiny over and over just for that sake.
Days had passed from her arrival back at Lesbos, and yet he never got tired of her presence. Caresses were shared, quiet moments, laughs... but over everything, even the pleasure they shared each night, were the hugs and snuggles. They comforted him, satiated his thirst for affection.
Rose was there, what was left of his family was there... He didnât want anything else in the world. His mind filled with thoughts like that when her arms went around him once more.
Time would come to face reality, all the other goals and dreams he had, but he wanted to enjoy the earned bliss for a bit longer: the warmth of a loved oneâs hug.
â: a kiss (lips)
She kissed him back, her arms around his neck. After all the difficulties they had been through, that she replied to his affection still felt like a blessing. They loved each other â it was the first time in long months he truly felt it true. Was it the same for her? She had so much doubts before...
It had, of course, been his fault in great part; so he had to do his best to compensate. Their lips separated for air, yet not for long: this time he was the one to close the distance between them.
Loving each other... making each other happy... worrying for the other...
No more sacrifices and pain.
âĄ: a flower crown
The instant Rose caught sight of that field, brimming with flowers, she became enamoured with it. At the end, Elefseus had no option but to camp right there and let her play as much as she wanted, even if he had the nagging feeling they would regret it once night fell.
But oh well⌠His gaze fixed itself on her figure, on her wide smile. Perhaps the stop wasnât such a bad idea after all. It was rare to see her enjoying herself so much, given her situation, and they both could definitely use a chance to relax. He threw himself to the grass with a yawn. For him, nothing was better than a well-earned nap.
The sun was already low in the sky when he finally woke up, as sluggish as confused. He didnât remember to have such a comfortable pillow before⌠or a princess looking at him in his sleep, either. He stood with a jolt, just in time for Roseâs hands to place a flower crown identical to hers in his head.
A present, she said; and his heart was filled with a strange joy.
â : a nudge in the side
As Rose nudged him, Elefseus couldnât help but to smirk. What a stubborn lady. Couldnât she accept her defeat already? No matter how much she insisted, there was no way he would ditch the figs.
At first he had been annoyed at her endless whims, but she was improving greatly. This time around, he simply couldnât hold it against her. Still, no was no.
âIf you keep on, Iâll make your dinner all figsâ He wasnât serious about it, of course â he didnât want her to die of starvation.
â¤: an uncomfortably long stare
Before night came, they camped by a nearby pound. A bath was a privilege they didnât get so often, given their circunstances, so one had to take about every available chance.
Elefseus didnât expect what happened later on, however. Ignoring Roseâs fixed gaze and, more so, where was she looking was proving a real trial. The day was so hot too... or so he liked to think. The red cheeks were just for that reason, nothing else. Sure.
As he worked in setting everything, their improvised beds ended up a bit further than usual. That was, of course, for no reason whatsoever. It just happened.
âĄ: a hair ruffling
The gesture took him offguard. What had gotten into her? Well, he did ruffle her hair from time to time, but...! It felt so weird being the one in the receiving end, more so when he felt most of the time her protector. Did she notice his bad mood?
It took him a look to her eyes to confirm his theory â there was worry on them. A tiny smile came to his lips before speaking, his head turned in her direction.
âIâm not a kid... but thanks.â
â˘: a push from behind
By the time he realized what had happened, he was already in the cold waters of the river. His chiton was drenched and his pride hurt. He couldnât let it pass.
âRose!!â He looked at her with an accusatory glance. âWhat was that about?â
She was quick in reflexes and an expert in running away after years of avoiding soldiers. So, as soon as Elefseus managed to stand, Rose turned around and started her escape between giggles. Oh Moira, she was impossible, completely impossible.
âCome heereee!!â
â§: a backhand slap
As every couple in the world, they had plenty of arguments between them. The biggest problem was their stubborness and how quick to take it beyond measure they could be. This time, he had been the one to overstep the line and got slapped by his angry wife.
âAh...â The discussion was over. His arms went around her waist in an attempt to comfort her.
â: a fronthand slap
It was to be expected, he had to admit. He had been lashing out at her, all her frustrations and worries, like he never did. There was no filter, no control. He was just furious at the world and how he had been manipulated all along.
The slap was so strong it made a loud noise and Elefseus was unable to move for a while. The shock replaced his previous fury, soon to be replaced by guilt. How could he? To someone so precious to him, to make matters even worse.
âIâm sorry... and thanks, for the slap. I needed it.â He lowered his head, concious of the depth of his errors.
¤: a book to read
Elefseus looked at his wife to the eyes, pleading for piety. The book was big and filled with german. It was impossible for him, no matter how much his reading skills may have improved. It wasnât going to work and he knew it, but he didnât lose anything for trying.
At times, he truly truly hated his parents-in-law. It was their idea, of that he was sure. Rose knew too well how difficult it was for him just yet. Oh well, he had to please her parents if he didnât want to be kicked out of the castle. The idea didnât make the heavy duty much better, but it gave him the energy to go.
He had a wonderful wife and a sweet daughter here. He wasnât going to go away.
ă: a pat on the back
Years ago, on that day, his parents were brutally killed, his sister and him were made slaves and a long, long nightmare started. No matter how many years passed, he never forgot it. Many times he had been tempted to visit his parentsâ graves in the anniversary, but he was too far from Arcadia to make it in time.
This year was the same. How many years had passed from the last time he went? Would the ones that buried them take care of the graves in his and Misiaâs place?
As lost as he was in his thought, he didnât notice her presence until her hand touched his back. He gave her just one look before snuggling against her. He didnât want to give her hopes about their relationship, but he needed the support more than any other day.
And the touch in his back was so relaxing...
ÂĄ: an apology
She arrived too late. Time after time, she had expressed her regrets about it. Time after time, he had tried to make her forget it and leave it behind. It didnât work, no matter how much he tried. She kept apologizing whenever the topic came out in any shape or form. But whatâs done is done, or so Amethystos tried to think.
âI told you thatâs fine. You were in your right to choose to go on with your life.â He tried those words again, even if he knew they wouldnât work.
That year generated a deep wound that would never fully heal. For both of them, the scar would remain even if a brighter future made all the pain a worth experience.
Âż: a gift
Some months had passed from their first meeting. They often met after classes, hanging around without a worry in the world, growing closer with each passing day. He was really happy whenever they met and had fun.
And yet, there was a problem: the gifts. This time, the present she brought with her was a new red hoodie from an expensive brand. He felt thankful. Damn, he needed some new clothes soon, but... just how much money was she spending in him? It felt unfair. Like if... he was leeching on her.
After much insisting from her part, he accepted the hoodie with a smile. Even if the guilt was still there, eating him away. How much he wished to be able to give her presents, instead of being only in the receiving end.
[Moira is the best album. Then again⌠Iâm a nerd for ancient history to soo⌠merp.]
[Awww yeah <333 I think that in my case a huge reason is Elef himself, he reminds me of a character that means too a lot to me. Everything about Moira is fantastic, anyway, but my reasons are a bit personal.
Other favourites of mine are Chronicle/Chronicle 2nd and Lost. Although I love all horizons and I wish the western fandom had access to better translations for early ones]
If you go greek you need self-fulfilling prophecies. Itâs like, a must.
The one mystery is about the thunder god-related prophecy, but it mainly acted as a motivation for Scorpius at the end. It could also be a reference to Chronicle and Chronicle 2nd, as there you learn about their origins and why they are special.
A curse over her, since she was a baby, it predicted that at her fifteenth birthday she would prick with a spindle and then fall asleep for a century, her kingdom would accompany her. Despite of all the way to prevent it, it happened. She was sleeping in the tower of roses, on a bed made of flowers, waiting patiently for her charming prince to wake her up; oh, and she truly knew how that was supposed to happen: a love kiss from her promised man, from the person that would love her since the very instant they saw each other. Rose was totally looking forward to that part of the curse, finding love and having a happy life.
The predictons also said a little detail, while the whole kingdom would be covered in roses and thorns, those would leave free access to the promised prince.
And there she was, sleeping peacefully, on her skin and her features there wasnât a sign of the pass of time, she still looked like a teenager despite of the century.
The moment their lips touched, her eyes opened slowly and tried to focus on her love. Yet the light was so difficult to handle right now, everything she could see was the silhouette of a young man before me. Despite of not being able to see well right now, her eyes showed life and a huge happiness, followed by a bright smile.
Elefseus broke the kiss almost inmediately, uncomfortable as he was with doing it to an unconcious stranger. It worked nevertheless: to his incredulity, her eyes opened as soon as their lips touched, the century sleep over. His heart skipped a beat at the sight. Was it due to the surprise or because the young princess was surprisingly beautiful? He didnât know, perhaps it was a mix of those two.
But she looked happy ďź he had done the right thing after all. Relief invaded his entire self at the realization of a work well done. He wanted to run and tell everyone about it, but he had to stay by her side for the time being. It would be cruel to leave the princess by herself at the moment, even if Polydeuces was the most indicated to help these people in the long run. After all, he had the wisdom that Elefseus, still young and inexperienced, lacked.
The prince sighed. He would do his very best to help these people until Polydeuces arrived to the scene. It was the least he could do after breaking the curse. With that determination, he offered his hand to her.
âHow are you feeling, princess?â He asked, a gentle smile in his lips.

I got my fav team killed with my first set of choices...... And the âletâs play with peopleâs corpses!â section aaaaargh ))
How could he stay mad when she looked at him that way? It seemed impossible to him.
Elefseus sighed at the thought, frustration pouring out of his whole being. Lafrenze had made a complete mess of the room, that much was clear, and yet he had no strength in him to punish her. She was sorry! Wasnât better to just leave it be? But she couldnât simply get away with it⌠she had to be responsible.
After much pondering, he kneeled to pat the mischievous princessâ head and then he looked her at the eyes, completely serious.
âYou are going to help clean, right?â That should be enough of a punishment. He would be looking so Lafrenze didnât slack off, but he wasnât going to be too strict with that. At the end, it was about taking responsibility.
â: a hug
Hugs were a common ocurrence between them. Elefseus loved them so much, after all. They made the miracle that was his new life all the more real everytime. However, there was something very special in the ones that Lafrenze started: her tiny arms doing its best to surround his body, her head resting in his chest as a smile came back to her lips.
The world was still full of things that overwhelmed her, young and inexperienced as she was. And yet one day, as she grew, she would stop coming to him in search of comfort.
What a shame. Elefseus hugged her back, tender as only a father could be. He hoped for that day to be far, far away.
When Elefseus ruffles her white locks, the princess giggles into her hands, not wanting to draw too much attention to herself. Who knows if her tutor was already hot in pursuit to drag her back into her room? She couldnât have that, she just left and needed some time to break. Four hours of studies felt like a lot for her, truthfully.Â
The young princess wears a toothy grin up to her father, appreciative of his affection.Â
âOhh, does it have to do with grown up things?â She questions, tilting her head to the side. Â This kind of thing, she recalls is something sheâll have to do down the line. The second part of his sentence is expected, so she replies without any hesitation. There wasnât any need to lie to her father, because telling the truth was a good thing to do.
âIâŚdo have class now, but my current lesson just ended! I was falling asleep Vati, and thought itâd be best to get some fresh air so I can wake up a bit.â
The years had passed, but Elefseus was still impressed to see how healthy their daughter was in spite of her condition. So full of energy and joy... Her smile was enough to make everything he had gone through for her sake more than worth it. She was that wonderful, the most wonderful girl.
âYes, itâs something that allows us to make everyone happy.â He didnât want to be overbearing, but he couldnât help but to try and instill a sense of duty on her. âJust as happy as we are.â
The tenderness in his eyes only grew when she explained her problem. She was like her mother in that regard too, there was no doubt about that, so he knew better than sending her back to her studies. He didnât want to spend the afternoon and evening searching for her in the forest after she snuck out.
âI see, then there are no helping it! Where do you want to go, lilâ one?â Elefseus poked her nose with a giggle. âHow about a horse ride? I could even let you use the reins.â

Heâs embarrassed that heâs been unable to tell his mother, but after everything that has happened and the similarities between her and that woman. He clams up. Although there were some differences, like with their appearances â it left an everlasting impact onto his psyche. But eventually he will tell her of the horrors heâs endured. The young prince continues to sob, fresh tears continue to roll down his cheeks.Â
ââŚe-every c-chance of happiness I had was snatched away,â he mutters into Elefâs chest, âs-seven timesâŚ.â Heâs counted. Each encounter is ingrained into his memory, despite wanting to forget about everything. He swallows heavily, trying to get control of his emotions once more. But having held this in for so long, heâs finally reached his catharsis. âS-Sometimes, I wish death took me swifter ââ b-but thatâŚthat never happened.â
He closes his eyes, sniffling. â I-I am tooâŚâcuz, I wouldnât of me-met e-either of you.â
As März cried out all his anguish in his arms, Elefseus said nothing. He understood it way too well, he had lived through similar experiences. Life hadnât been kind with either... and both had something else in common: lasting happiness didnât reach them until they met with Rose. She was truly a wonderful woman, flaws and all.
âThis time nobody will snatch that happiness away, I promise. I wonât allow it.â His voice was slightly cracked by emotion. âYou are our son now, März, and weâll protect you from all that may harm you. Itâs over.â
If only he could do something like this for every kind suffering the same misery... If only he could protect everyone from this kind of pain. He did his best as a king, but it was obvious that hadnât been enough for kids like März. Elefseus never entertained that train of thought for long, however, and cut it right there. He was already doing as much as he could as a ruler... and the fear to listen at the voice of death again had never gone away. He couldnât totally escape from his âfatherâ, after all.
Etiquette, the history of their country, the studies of politics â oh, it put poor Lafrenze to sleep. Thatâs why she slips out of her room quickly, before her next tutor can come teach her about something unimportant. The light pitter patter of feet can be heard as she hurries down the grand hallway. She checks every room, before storming in â in case she runs into someone thatâll shoo her back to her studies. When she finally happens upon her Fatherâs study, and sees him inside â the creak and groan of the door is heard and it isnât long till the princess hurries to his side.
With a light tug to the cloth of his clothes, Lafrenze looks up toward her Father, with a expectant look. She and Elef are quite close, and he was very understanding therefore she hopes he allows for her to sneak away for a bit. She was going to be subtle about her needs, because she knows he is probably busy. But she had her hopes.
âVati,â She whispers quietly, and she tugs again, unsure whether or not he felt her, ââŚ..Vati? What are you up to?â
Another dawn brought with it another busy day for Elefseus. Although they were in peace with the nearby kingdoms and Elefâs measures were proving succesful in keeping crime at bay, the work needed to keep the status quo was overwhelming for a man still unused to his increasing responsibilities. Not like if he would ever complain: his work made everyoneâs lives better, after all.
With that in mind, Elefseus pulled another letter from his desk. He was tired, sure, but he could wait a bit more for a break. At least, of course, until he felt tug and heared the sweet voice of his dear daughter. When did she get in...? Had she inherited her motherâs talent to sneak out?
Well, it didnât matter. He was happy to see her.
âLafrenze!â He kneeled in front of her, a warm smile in his lips. âI was reading a letter, but that doesnât matter. What are you doing here? I thought you had class now.â
His hand, so big in comparison with hers, ruffled her hair a bit before resting in her shoulder. He was so glad to see Lafrenze. There was no better medicine than some time spent with her or Rose, his lovely family.

His cries, originally ââ they would not be heard. Thatâs why for the longest time he refrained from doing so; it was perceived as a weakness. He vaguely remembers the feeling of being held and being comforted. But over the years those gentle touches were replaced with rougher ones. Being touched made him feel uncomfortable because he wasnât safe, but the difference now is he is safe. There was some reluctance from März when Elefseus embraces him. But he wraps his tiny arms around the manâs body, returning the embrace.Â
There was a slight tremble in his body, as he lightly sobs when burying his head into the otherâs chest.
âY-Yes,â He confirms through his sobs, at some points of his life he wanted to die. It seemed like a better option but he kept trucking along, despite the obstacles thrown his way. Because if he didnâtââ he would never have met with Rose, nor gotten to know her.
Despite Elef saying it was okay to cry, he tried to keep his sobs muted. He didnât want to disturb anyone from his sobs. It was out of habit to keep his voice down and quiet, because he didnât want to be a nuisance . The comforting touches from Elefâs hand relaxes him, causing for März to keep his body closer.Â
ââŚI didnât wanna live,â he mumbles into Elefseusâs chest, â It wasnât fairâŚit wasnât fair, Vati; I was just kept as a trophy tâsome. But Iâm s-so g-glad you t-took me in.â
Elefseus kept with the caresses all the while, wanting him to feel safe. In that crying boy, he saw himself more than anything. His confessions between sobs, his reluctant hug... everything strengthened the desire to shield him from his pain. He wanted März to be happy, never again to suffer through the hardships Moira had given him in the past.
He wanted to be the blind poet to the slave boy this time around. His heart ached to help, to bring a bit of justice to this world, as strongly as ever; and so he lowered his head to whisper at him, embracing him.
âYes... Destiny isnât fair, it has never been.â A smirk tainted with sadness crossed his lips. âAnd wanting to die is fair in that situation, but Iâm glad you kept going in spite of that. You are a brave young boy. Not everything can be avoided, but you wonât know if itâs possible unless you try and try until the very end.â
In spite of his efforts, he had lost plenty of things... but he had won other fights. His sister lived on thanks to that. He rebuilt his family after tragedy struck them with Lafrenze thanks to that. If the one brother he never knew were to look at the man he had become, he would be proud of him. The cynic in Elefseus had waned with the pass of the years.
