Do you like being mute just so you don't have to talk to people? Or is it nice so you can get closer to people physically? Is it genetic, what about the kids?

‘I can’t say I mind it.’ She snorts at the joke. ‘It is nice not having to talk to some people and nicer that it scares some away.’

‘Closer to people physically? Are you suggesting that I use my disability for affection?’ She smiled innocent as could be considering it was true and she had no shame about it. ‘I only get close to people because I can’t actually yell if I need them considering the whole no vocal cords thing.’

‘Kids? Do you assume I want kids because my uterus exist? I have 2 children, and they have can speak quite well.’
