Please understand that Pornhub (pretty much all porn really) is actually a human rights travesty that predominately affects women and a nice slogan on one day does not change that.

Oh yeah I’m aware. It’s an awful, inhumane industry that creates misery for the sake of predominantly male pleasure. It’s pretty fucked up. I don’t think that Porhub has really... changed? Or like, become more morally conscious or whatever. It can’t, without shutting itself down. I do think that a message like that to be shown and implemented on a porn site will be reaching a lot of people who would usually not pay a lot of mind to that sort of thing. And probably make a lot of them angry, to boot. So don’t get me wrong, I’m under no illusions about the kind of industry it is, and how little this message on this site actually means in the grand scheme of things; but the thought of literal wankers being denied some degrading jerk material based in female misery for a day, as well as being forced to think about the concept of women as human beings, does bring a bitter smile to my face.

3: Best game you've ever played? “Best” pertaining to quality, I’d say... Dark Souls is very solid. I won’t say it’s the best thing ever to happen to videogames, but taking all factors into account (graphics, gameplay, story [such as one can be bothered finding], etc.) it is a very good game. Perhaps it isn’t the best i’ve ever played, but it’s what comes to mind first. 

6: A game that's changed you the most? Kingdom Hearts. Specifically, and perhaps surprisingly, Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded. The themes of acceptance and coping with loss and pain really resonated with me and changed my perspective a little, or perhaps cleared up what my perspective on that actually was. “Congratulations, you understand hurt.” 

9: A game you turn your volume off every time you play it? Less deep, Minecraft. Simply because I play it while I’m listening to lectures online. 

12: Shortest time you've beaten a game in? I can smash through Bloodborne in a couple of hours. Once you’ve gone into NG+++++++, physical and mental barriers kind of break down and you can just do it. You see the code. You are The One. 

15: Which two games do you think would make an awesome crossover? Hmm..., Mass Effect and The Elder Scrolls would be a pretty interesting combination. I don’t know that it’d work, but I’d definitely wanna be witness to that mess. 

18: A game you wish your friends knew about? Quantum Moves. It’s an App game that generates data as you play that’s sent to a team of researchers to help them work on quantum computing. Please look into it, it’s a pretty brief game. 

21: How old were you when you first played a video game? YOUNG. Can’t remember how young. I remember watching my Dad play a lot of Video Games. Maybe one of the first times I played a game was when he let me try to do something in Thief. 

24:  Casual, Hardcore, or in the middle? I dunno if those labels actually mean anything anymore. I enjoy VGs, and everyone enjoys things in different ways. Sometimes I’ll play something for like half an hour and sometimes I’ll grind for hours on end, get the best gear, work on optimising my stats; and I’ll enjoy both of those sessions. It’s all pretend, dude. None of it exists except for the feeling it gives you. If that feeling isn’t enjoyment then what’s the point? (This is ignoring an opinion that i have about VGs on large, which is that they’re an artform in the same way books are. Books, however, are also pretend and only exist as they are consumed by the reader)

27: Has there ever been a moment that has made you cry? Mostly in Kingdom Hearts, yeah. 

30: A game that hasn't been localized in your country that you think should be localized? There was a Kingdom Hearts game that wasn’t localised until very recently, which is a bit shit because it’s apparently pretty integral to the lore-foundation of the in-game universe. So, glad they got that sorted.
