Yusei stared down Paradox, "Let's end this duel! I attack you directly with Crimson Dragon, Scorched Earth!" Jaden and Yami could feel the fire behind Yusei's voice as he declared the attack. The Crimson Dragon roared in agreement as they flapped their powerful wings, sending them high above Paradox.
Their golden eyes glinted as the gold markings on their body burned hotter than the sun. Taking in a breath, a hellfire blazed within them. Almost unhinging their jaw, they shot off a powerful blast-
Strong enough to shatter the earth around them for miles.
Paradox's eyes widened as his demise came at him at an impossible speed- just faster than the speed of light. He scarcely raised his arms before the firey blast struck him at full force.
He let out an agonized screech as he melted to the intense heat- his processors boiling under the pressure. His duel disk barely able to register his life points hitting zero before completely incinerating beyond repair.
The Crimson Dragon came back down as the duel concluded, breathing a lick of fire from their maw shortly after. Their eyes were locked ahead, almost like they needed assurance that the threat was eliminated.
The boys behind them were speechless.
They heard the life leave their opponent.
They saw him writhe in agony in the flames!
Yubel and Yami weren't strangers to a life threatening fight or 200, but the later wasn't sure how he felt on all this. Yugi was significantly younger than him and the worst that he'd seen him do is banish a few people to hell, but it was quite painless- for the most part. He hadn't used fire on anyone for quite some time now...
Yubel meanwhile had a wicked grin on their face, seemingly satisfied with the gruesome turn of events. It didn't seem to affect Jaden all too strongly and he's alive, so it was fine in their book. The firey display was just the cherry on top.
Yusei's pupils were shaking violently, mimicking when he found Kiryu over that cop's body. They won, they survived to fight another day but..
The Crimson Dragon- no Kasumi just incinerated Paradox.
She just killed another person.
He wasn't loving this. How much control did Kasumi have this time around? Maybe it wasn't as much in battle as it is outside of it.
Their eyes did have a different glint in them at the moment after all...
He didn't want to think she just killed someone with no remorse like that, that's not like her at all...
Then why'd he feel rain hit his shoulder just now?
