Seeking Ones Solace

For once; there was a solemn peace, not a whisper. Nor the crackling of branches, only the snow crunching beneath the steel heels of the knights boots, Eydis needed time to think to herself aloud, a time by herself where she could collect her thoughts and think about what to do next.

Or more over....worry about what may happen to her loved ones.

“This.....this has been a rough week........or month.....I’ve lost track of time now...like I’ve lost track of modern technology.”

Eydis mused to herself, adrift in her thoughts; soon however she would come to a grinding halt  beneath one of the many tree’s in what many could consider the beginnings of snowdins outskirts. A heavy, fear shaken sigh left her body as she would muse to herself aloud, not knowing or somewhat caring of any onlookers that my hear her.

“Whats the point....she’ll forget everything...forget me, yet I love her....but I can’t let that stop me from caring. But, it’s hard not to, times have changed, the modern world bewilders and confuses me and her too.....” The usually boastful knight sat down, drawing her knees into herself and sighing once more, though with more sadness then fear

Genevieve sat by the window in Grillbys, watching as snow fell to the ground and monsters made their way through the town. She still wondered how there was even weather under a mountain but that wasn’t all that important now. Turning away from the window she picked up the hot chocolate she had order and took a sip, soon putting the mug down and sketching in her sketchbook once again.

Well usually she would sketch however she had taken to writing notes in her sketchbook, mostly on how she could get back to the surface with no luck. Maybe she should just ask one of the other customers if they knew how to get to the surface and with that thought she took a look around the room, searching for someone who could possibly help.

Yeese walked slowly through the woods, he always felt uneasy about this places, he could not only get lost but he could also end up dead and it’d not be a pretty fast one, the sound of snow crunching under his boots made him stop for a moment to get his bearings.

*Now, now, justice ain’t s’possed ta be afraid of nothin’, get it together Yeese..” He muttered to himself, he took a deep breath and kept walking, looking for that rock Harbringer told him to find, he was looking everywhere except where he was walking, thus making him bump into someone.

*A-Ah’ll be damned...” He whispered to himself before turning quickly and stepping back, seeing that he had not bumped into a monster but a human.

*What in tarnation?! Another human?!”

It’s cold.

It is allways cold, like the water that ran to the ocean shores, the rivers that fell by the slopes of the mount, or the lake towards the inner lands of the country. Like the ice acumulating on the weather of winter or the nights that the season held. Dark, cold and silent, any animal slumbering or trying to find food.

Cold, dark and silent like death.

Sometimes, when she feels enough, she gets a glimpse of the other world, and she felt often enough. A wheeping ghost they would call her, mourning what what was, what couldn’t and what would be, wandering the place with a saddened and hollow glance, resalted by the way her eyes would be she knew. Her soul had long since faded into a magical mess, she guessed it would be a matter of time she became a spectral fiend if her LV started affecting her, or maybe she would fade away into a void rest?

No matter what, her mind drifted unto curious memories, the distant sight of shapes moving towards the entrance’s direction. They were possibly dead by now, after all everyone who fell would probably die, given a royal had died long ago, there was a moment of silence, then mourn, followed by worry. Her body faintly manifested at the barrier’s entrase, warming her with her own magic yet freezing her all the same with the cold intentions it bore. Then in one step ventured inside the hole, into the banishment of a race she once held dear to her soul. It wasn’t like it would mean anything, she betrayed them, they couldn’t see her, nor in her state would the barrier consider her entirely like a normal thing (Should she fade into restless sleep she would still reapear by the barrier if she wished so, and not inside as she should). A fate worthy of her crime, she thought, a cruel fate of unrest.

And so, wandering she went, searching for one the shapes she had seen coming to the forgotten lands of monsters, yet returned not.

*( Olivia had been back tracking her steps in the cold woods of Snowdin, towards a little shack only known to her and one other. Her eyes were still a little bit swollen for the tears that she shed moments ago, but with some new motivation, she was back to her peppy self. She couldn't wait to start up that little heater that was in that little shack when they found it!)

*(Even though she was in high spirits, she still couldn't help but to think back on the memories she made with everyone at that school. All of those new faces she saw and then with the fact that she was able to befriend some of them as well, she couldn't help bit smile. They were all such good friends to her ,and even though they all went back to their timelines at least she could still chat with them through the school pins. She was a bit nervous if they would remember her or not but now wasn't the time to think of such things! The only thing she should be worried about is starting that little heater up. Speaking of which, she wasn't even sure if there was enough wood to burn.)

*(With that in mind, Olivia seemed to now be scouting the area for some twigs or branches she could carry back to that shack. She was able to find a few but thought she needed a bit more. As she kept on looking it seemed that she became less and less aware of her surroundings. Her steps weren't all that quiet as well, with each step you could easily hear the crunch of snow from her shifting her weight from one foot to the other. Nevertheless, she broke in half one of the long twigs so she could carry thing a bit easier. All of these sounds called attention to her without her realizing it. Something that a few of her friends knew of her of recklessness. Hopefully she would be the only one, alone in the woods... for her sake. )

With the help of Sabrina’s amazing sewing skills, Olivia was able to make a new friend named, Borris! She will cherish this plushed-cat forever.

After Charles mentions about magic to her and displayed some as well, Olivia gives it a shot!  Only to be standing with her arms up like a complete fool...Luckily she stops before she tortured herself.
