oh my gosh i love voytek the bear... do you wanna infodump about it...

omg yes i just love him so much and the fact that they took him in when he was a baby and he became a PRIVATE. and he’d help them move crates that were too heavy and he’d SLEEP WITH THEM. and they’d feed him cigarettes and alcohol which obviously couldnt have been good for him but it was the 40s so im not throwing stones plus it was pretty cute. AND LIKE HE WAS PART OF A LEGIT BATTLE? like this bear was so badass?? i just love military pets so much, theyre just in the top tier of pets. my cat could never compete with unsinkable sam.
