i think i just figured it out. the reason that machine will never be "superior" to flesh is for the same reason that sex exists.

i wish there was a fandom for the various tales of buddhist history, like there is for christianity. like what do you mean indian jeff the killer is one of the most influential figures in buddhism.

I am a disgusting thing. Thank god, thank god. I'm still growing, it makes sense that I'd be a mess. I can see that I'm less of a mess now than I was last semester. But, fortunately, I don't deceive myself by ending up put together. I have a nice good look at myself, and I know relief won't come unless I can watch this tired animal find its way to some semblance of sense. I need the rain to grow, thank you.

Changes in my body that I noticed growing up, that I haven't really seen anyone else talk about

current age: 20

It takes me longer to pee as an adult than it did as a child.

I can no longer lay quite as comfortably on my stomach as an adult than I could as a child (boobs).

I used to enjoy the sensation of being dizzy, but now it makes me nauseous.

My skin is less soft.

The barbers no longer compliment how thick my hair is.

I used to be able to bend my nose in any direction. The hardened cartilage inside of my nose means that it no longer has that same flexibility.

My canine teeth are no longer as sharp, and my front teeth have lost their ridges.

My eyebrows used to be fine and could be swept in any direction without losing their clean appearance. Now, my eyebrows have darkened, and can get messed up more easily.

Sometimes a new birthmark will appear on my skin. I recently got one on my left index knuckle. I've become so used to the landscape of my hands that this was rather jarring for me.
