i’m rewatching episodes of shingeki no kyojin for research for a fanfic i’m writing but there are a few things i’ve noticed in retrospect that make my heart swell.
reiner’s titan has his hair, even in the first episode. if i had paid more attention to his hair, i wouldn’t have been as shocked about their betrayal.
when the shiganshina trio are getting food, annie can be seen walking up to a stall for bread.
eren gets upset with armin and starts yelling at him and being selfish. mikasa punches him to get him to come to his senses. this is directly parallel to when eren is talking shit about mikasa and the ackerbond and armin just reaches across the table and socks eren in the face.
when they’re announcing the civilian cull, you can she reiner and bertholdt’s faces of pure horror and shock. they’re soldiers
