The alien Mork (Robin Williams) from Ork made his first appearance on Happy Days on February 28, 1978. This was literally from the Jump the Shark season that created the term. No one believed Richie's (Ron Howard) story of meeting an alien who wanted to take him back to Ork in his UFO. Mork would be granted his own spin-off series that same year and it would run for 4 seasons of 94 episodes. While the Happy Days episode took place in the 1950's, Mork & Mindy took place in 1978.
