I’m currently using photoshop for sketching and coloring, but using CLIP studio for inking (it’s basically SAI+manga studio that you can also install on macintosh) :D

hey, what brush did you use for that harry sketch? it looks like a pencil & i loveeeee. what size canvas did u use also? because sometimes with dif size canvases the effect doesnt show.. thank u so much!!

i really forget which pencil brushes it is, it’s from deviantart for sure (i have few pencil brushes downloaded from the site).  just search pencil brushes, there’s lots of option available for free download by many amazing (and generous)  artists :’)also i use A4 (2480 x 3508 px) on 300 dpi for the size

Hii I really love your drawings and your style! I find it very difficult to find a own style like you have.. Any tips to find one?

thank you!  honestly... i still love to try every style i find interesting, you can see at how various my drawings look like xD sometimes i go for realism (or at least attempt to haha i never really get it right), manga-ish, and then cartoon/chibis, and then lots of time...something in between... just keep drawing! :) try every style - add your personal touch in it... you’ll know that style you keep using is maybe the one you most comfortable with - maybe you already find it - you just need to use it more :D

Hey ros! Was wondering how you plan out your sketches? i'm finding it hard to do that because i always wanna jump into details lol

i make thumbnail first, it’s like small drawing - you can use “almost” stickmen for this - a super super draft before you do big drawing… so you can imagine how the big one will turn out. for comic this also where you want to put the balon text, - space that will be covered with balon text don’t have to be too detailed drawn.

that’s how i do with pin up drawing. this one is my thumbnails for “little petal” (it was cat!boy at first hehe). Also if you happen to make more than one, save them.. you never know you want to use it later. (also on commission before i go into big drawing i always send the thumbnail first so people know what to expect for their commission)

i think thumbnail is important, it makes you work faster because you already know how you want your drawing to be when finished (even though usually changed in halfway for me) and you know what you need to work on detail, and what not.

also I can't seem to get my brush strokes to have as much texture and smoothness as yours seem to have :/

i’m using loish’s brush set, the oil pastel one with pressure for opacity activated (and lots of pick color and stroke) :)

just wondering, have you ever tried drawing on a grey color?? you probably have but for a tip for any other artists who see this, drawing/painting on a grey toned background can prevent straining of the eyes, and can let you work for longer! i can definitely get the most of my skills doing this and i think white backgrounds are very distracting for me. and if you do like the white just switch it back after (:

how do you pick skin tones???

i don’t really have answer at how, just go with what i feel will look good i guess? xD but i love natural color and or warm color, so yeah it’s usually something between yellow and red and brown
