What gave away that she WASN’T okay? Was it the fact that she’d been sitting there with her laptop open for the past hour with one word typed into the word document? Or maybe the fact that she’d been staring at the wall for that long? Nia had startled her and Kara quickly shut her computer, raising her brows as she glanced up to her friend. “What? Yes, of course I’m okay. Yes.” She blinked, okay, so she’d thought about telling the truth for about half a second. . . “Just a little tired is all.” That wasn’t completely UNtruthful. “What’s up?”
