“I--I just can’t ignore this,” he said suddenly. “The world keeps putting us together in places we don’t expect to see each other...why are we fighting it.” Callum swallowed hard. “It was all so long ago some times it just feels like a bad dream. We were just kids,” he licked his lips trying to keep his resolve. “I just have to know, did you not want me around any more?” it’s what he’d been told. Her family had pushed them apart, he wasn’t good enough for her. He was a ground keepers son for god sake. He’d never be enough for her and for a long time he’d thought she believed that. Since they’d run into each other again he was questioning things.

After moving to New York, Winn found that he was pretty settled into his new life here. Of course part of that was due to the fact that he was living out his childhood dream of being an actor on Broadway. His foster parents were always against it, which is how he ended up falling in love with tech and computers, because it was safer. But it made him so much like his father, so much that his father had taken him that he had to run. He had to get away from it all. He regretted not saying anything to Kara before he left but it would have been too much. 

But he had been here for a while and he was more than happy to be living his life the way that he was. Which included going into his favorite place for coffee. Smiling as he entered, Winn recognized the barista as one who had been there every time he walked in. “16 oz mocha please.”

Venom sat back on the couch, his tongue tracing circle’s in the air. He was BORED. Eddie never let him do anything fun anymore. It seemed like there weren’t any bad guys left except - - - what was that? The symbiote heard the sound of arguing and instantly perked up.  ‘ WE HEARD ARGUING. ’ Venom stated as he burst through the front door.

Without second-guessing himself, Kit fell into a more meditative state, one where he knew he needed to earn his own trust in order to gain something out of it, but after the fight, and sporting another shiner, the black and blue bruise still throbbing over his eye, he was alone with his thoughts for the first time again, settling slowly before the other joined him. “I thought I really had hime this time.” Kit replied almost instinctively, his nature to take up the mantle of fighting and give it his all, even if he knew he was going to lose.

“What?” Kielan turned to look briefly but looked back towards Aria. He quickly took two glasses of champagne from the passing waiter. Passing one off to the woman before him as she asked, though keeping the other to himself as he took a drink.

“I’m assuming you guys don’t get along by the sounds?” Kielan asked, making conversation to evade the awkwardness of her ex coming over.

“you avoided being in a room alone with me essentially since i met you.” 

     April looked up at him with wide, innocent eyes. Her cheeks slightly reddening at his words. “--I... I’m sorry.” She said softly, before her eyes moved to the floor. Avoiding eye contact with the other. “I don’t mean to offend you, I just don’t want to push you away. So I just keep you at arms length.” She couldn’t get too invested, what if he decided he didn’t like her? Being alone with him scared her.
