“I don’t want another Josh to happen. … In the big picture, my issues really aren’t all that – you know. I think helping them helps me more than weeding through the ugly shit, right now. It’s what I need. So… Sorry, about the short notice drop, and thank you for having me.”

Ashley opened the door of her apartment, looking through the halls. Everyone peeking out from the doors. The fire department was here, but the alarm hadn’t gone off. That was weird. Plus there were some people in the building lobby, trying to get out but the firefighters blocked the door.

She stepped out, still in her pajamas and slippers, folding her arms over her chest. She turned to the person nearest to her. “Do you have any idea what’s going on?” She asked, trying to see if they had some sort of answer for whatever was going on here.

As her eyes flutter open, Jess starts to look around groggily, confused. How did she get here…?

Oh wait. That’s right. She was fucking stabbed. Some douche wanted to steal her stuff that night while she was on her way home. She tried to fight back, and this is what she gets? 

To her best efforts, she tried to run off to find help, but it wasn’t long before she straight up passed out. Those last few moments were incredibly groggy and fuzzy. She barely remembers what was going on in her head during that moment. Lots of fear was there, though. That’s for sure.
