Any tips on healthy eating. It's really hard for me to stop eating the junk food when I start. Also, what are some good food to eat on a daily basis to help gain muscle.
There are a couple things that help me out with this. The first is to not keep too much “junk” food in my kitchen. That way if i do snack on something “unhealthy” my options are limited. Keep healthy options on hand that will satisfy cravings that you will actually eat - don’t buy a pack of carrots if you don’t really like carrots because then you’ll be more likely to reach for the unhealthier option. I keep ingredients for smoothies, protein pankakes, whole grain pasta and salad makings with my favorite dressing on hand for go-to options. Don’t deprive yourself - listen to your body and eat healthy options when hungry and you’ll be less likely to all out binge on something you might regret later. AMy last bit of advice might sound weird, but don’t deny yourself your favorite junk snack all the time. I’ve had way more success allowing myself to have “cheat” foods in a daily basis than to force myself to avoid foods I like. Keep your head up! You’re doing better on your fitness journey than you are giving yourself credit for 💖💖 as far as gaining muscle, your body operates off of "use it or loose it". Work out your muscles and your body will maintain and grow them, depending on the type and intensity that you perform. Any foods with protein will definitely help with muscle growth, it's just a matter of finding what you like and what works for you and your lifestyle. However your body is smart! So if you train weights and only have a high carb meal afterwards, your body can still use those nutrients to build muscle, just maybe not as efficiently as if you are protein.
