Anybody remember the L'il Subs? Actually, they were just some kids getting a tour of the Legion HQ. Doro stands in for Calamity King, and wears his traditional green. There are kid versions of Night Girl, Color Kid, Antennae Boy, Infectious Lass, and Porcupine Pete. From Legends of the Legion #2 by Jeffrey Moy, and W.C. Carani.

My cover for A Tale of Two Proties #108 in Interlac #286, December 2023. I used a panel of Antennae Boy by John Forte from Adventure Comics #305, and inserted it into a reimagined Mystery in Space #72 cover by Carmine Infantino and Murphy Anderson. In my zine I discussed a Thanksgiving road trip, the COVID booster, Keith Giffen's impact on the Legion, old Legion issues, Chemical King, and some conversation and responses to Interlac #284 (continued) and #285.
It looks like Antennae Boy got his powers under control. A Legion reject from Adventure Comics #305.

Antennae Boy by Jesse Hamm
I commissioned Jesse to draw Antennae Boy for me, lesser known member of the Legion of Substitute Heroes. Antennae Boy, aka Khfeurb Chee Bez, has the unique ability to receive any audio waves from anywhere on the planet that he is currently on. This is impressive in itself, but Khfeurb can not only pick up audio broadcasts from the present, but also the past. However, Khfeurb does not have complete control of his power, and the signals he receives often get mixed up, resulting in feedback. So, when he tried out for the Legion of Super-Heroes, Khfeurb was rejected. However, Khfeurb went on to join the Legion of Substitute Heroes, a team where having complete control of one's powers is not a requirement.
