sure, i would have loved to have seen holdo from the novels in the movie! like i hekking love laura de/rn too and just - so much potential from them working together with different leadership styles and poe learning from that, or poe having to learn how to let go sometimes because he’s not able to save anyone. there’s a million other plot points they could’ve gone down on but rian decided to go with arguably the most horrible rendition that he could think of. it was a regression of his character and the ‘learning’ of lessons he’d already learned ages ago. i could list all the comics where he already did that in like ????? rian pls.

gosh the poe and leia moments would’ve been so great, and yeah she didn’t need to shoot poe, he was already lowering his blaster, and she didn’t need to slap him either like ?????

OH GOD I AM ONCE AGAIN REMINDED fuck. that scene was so horribly inappropriate and gross. way to include some gross subtext into a person you’ve helped put down, like way to go. nuh uh.

“I apologize, Professor Burnet.” Norman had been tasked with travelling straight out towards the Alola region to deliver an abundance of documents of research from the Littleroot lab, unfortunately once more, Birch ran off without a second thought and failed to tell anyone. Honestly, that should have been something seen coming by everyone else.

He handed her the documents sheepishly. “I wish I could say I knew where Birch went but...I don’t.”

She pulls her hands back as the other is quick to jump, unsure what he was doing. But Adara gives him space, thrown off at the sudden response from him. Maybe sneaking up from behind wasn’t the best idea, something she realizes now. Surely he had heard her approaching from behind, right? Or maybe he’s too preoccupied with something to notice. Not that Adara could see, anyways. 

Well, she can’t blame him on being frightened by that, even if her thoughts were much different than what swarmed in his mind. 

“Hey,” Adara replied, flashing him a grin as she spoke. A hand reached out to pat his shoulder, a light touch as her eyes were peering up into his. She doesn’t notice his shaky hands; both already in his pockets before she could even notice. 

“I uh, hope I didn’t scare you that much,” she says, pulling her hand away as she spoke, fingertips barely grazing the cloth of his hoodie as she spoke. “Thought I would have made you jump into the sun or something.” A laugh leaves her lips, an attempt to lighten the mood. 

“But ah, no hair ruffling?” She starts, holding up her hands, thinking he didn’t want his hair touched. “That’s fine, I’m sort of used to doing it to a few people I know.”

Rey leaned over and pushed his arm, at the same time fighting back the smile that threatened to grow bigger. “I’m not stoic,” she protested. On the contrary, she had quite the active imagination. 

Behind them, Chewie said something, his speech only understood by Rey who promptly turned a shade of pink and looked away. “It’s not like that,” she called back to Chewie. Trust her dad’s best friend to tease her.

Steph knew about Jason, obviously. Batman hadn’t told her, but it was kind of impossible to avoid hearing about dead Robins.

Especially when you were part of the club yourself.

Everyone had been nagging Stephanie to get rid of the mantle, to play it safe and not get caught up in the line of duty again but nah, no way, she had to make up for... everything. That was why she was sneaking around and--somehow running into Red Hood himself.

Steph swallowed hard, glad the black Spoiler mask covered her facial expression well.

“So...” Steph started, breaking the awkward silence slash staring contest. Except she had no idea what to say. “Come here often?” she joked. It might have been funnier if they weren’t deep in the heart of Black Mask territory.
