May looks up from the shelf she’s examining the moment she hears a set of footsteps in the room. He really is absent minded today huh? From the sound of it he’s trying to make some kind of decision? It doesn’t sound too urgent at least but she’s more than happy to help her father with whatever the issue is. It’s the least she can do to pay him back.

“…I assume something’s on your mind?”

“Hm?”

His head cocked to his daughter, shaking out of his thoughts and gave a sheepish smile. “Oh, I’m not looking to destroy anything. Trying to think of how to properly renovate the room, and what should be changed. I have a few ideas in mind but...” Norman’s eyes strayed back towards the room, the frown appeared once more upon his lips.

“I’m not sure if it’s a good idea. In my head sounds fine, but doing it is another thing entirely,” He says, with a slight nod. “Speaking of which, when did you get home? Did you get something to eat already?”

“I have to admit, I knew you’d make it all the way here.” Wallace turned facing the challenger, his cape hovered in the air regarding the other with calmly with a gaze of intensity. The steps take were filled with confidence approaching the other, an arm slide to his hip with a faint smile touching upon the end of his lips, and than nodded softly.

His eyes dazzled. “From the moment we met, I knew there was something special about you. Now, let us see whether I was right in my assumption. I promise you from here on in, we will be going all out.”

It wasn’t often that people offered to listen to his problems, no matter how small they may seem.  It was a gesture that Minato appreciated although he couldn’t say for certain if he would ever take Norman up on that offer.  Although, it would be a bit easier considering that he was relatively certain that Norman was similar in regards to talking about his issues, so it wasn’t like he’d get judged to harshly for any inability to get the words out.

“Thank you.  I may have to take you up on that offer in the future.”  

“It’s no problem, Minato.” 

Norman could not deny the curiosity about what might have been going through Minato’s head, the feelings which might have been plaguing the man; the two might have known one another for very long but managed to read him fairly well. He worried that something might have been bothering him or perhaps, he’d done something; thankfully the laterwas dismissed by Minato reassuring him of that. Even so...

The gym leader’s concern remained. “And thank you, but erm is there anything particularly on your mind or that you want to talk about?”
