I am not Catholic or Anglican. "Clark" unfortunately has no Patron Saint or name day, so to celebrate my name as Italians often do and to salute my protestant (mostly by name only) parents who gave me such an impossibly posh and (rhymes with Mark Antony) historically noble connection, I put my middle name in all caps today, Clark ANTHONY Lawrence. Saint Anthony of Padua died today in 1231. While I know next to nothing about him other than he was born in Lisbon, spoke beautifully, and had a sexy voice, I know that he is associated and often depicted with the white lily, a symbol of purity. Lilies start to open around his day in this part of Italy, probably in Padua, too. How are yours growing? Check back in August for another Saint and gorgeous plant I call my own. San Lorenzo and laurel. Saint Lawrence! Get out the big grill, but not for human flesh this time. August 10th. Any excuse for a patio party. 😂 #antonio #anthonyofpadua #nameday #clarkanthonylawrence #saints #fernandomartinsdebulhoes #hammerofheretics #professorofmiracles #getoutthegrill #patioparty #whitelilies #growitinapot #gigliodisantantonio #angelsanddemons #saintsandsinners #somanysaints #solittletime (presso La Macchina Fissa) https://www.instagram.com/p/CeveCA-oHn4/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
