This fabulous silk night set with contrasting scallops, designed by Anthony Powell, was worn by the fabulous Maggie Smith as the snappy but capable Bowers in the famous 1978 feature film adaptation of Agatha Christie’s 𝑫𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒉 𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑵𝒊𝒍𝒆.   Surprisingly, the costume was seen again in another Christie adaptation - 2001’s 𝑷𝒐𝒊𝒓𝒐𝒕: 𝑴𝒖𝒓𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝒊𝒏 𝑴𝒆𝒔𝒐𝒑𝒐𝒕𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒂, where it was worn by Barbara Barnes as Mrs. Leidner.   See more photos of this costume at Bit.ly/PostEd270
