LMAO my mum almost did that to me once!!! i had a bottle of fireball under my bed in a forever 21 bag one year and idk what i was doing but i had been out one night and when i came home, my mum was like “so i was looking in your room for some stuff and i’m kind of concerned about what i found under your bed…” and i was like SHIIIIT and she just went “so much dust!!! that can’t be good for your allergies” and i was like MUM i almost just had a HEART ATTACK jesus CHRIST 😂 needless to say i moved whatever meager stash i had after that to a more secure location lol

Hello. I am curious about why you didn't like The Awakening? I read it maybe 3 years ago my junior year of high school and remember enjoying it well enough. (I may have actually really enjoyed it but it's been so long since I read it that I can't remember). I just like hearing people's opinions on books obvs respond how u see fit

i feel like i don’t like it just because of how it’s written? i don’t really enjoy books that take me over an hour to read 12 pages. like the content itself is fine, honestly looking back at what i’ve read so far it’s actually interesting, but the act of reading the book itself is so tedious i dread reading it.

it also doesn’t help that i’m coming off of reading hamlet, which i honestly loved, and am about to start who’s afraid of virginia woolf, which seems like something i’m really going to enjoy, so my view of the novel is probably a little skewed. 

so basically i don’t like chopin’s writing, especially when there’s paragraphs of info that is really unnecessary 

honestly this is the same relationship that i have with frankenstein (tho i don’t hate the main character as much as i hate victor frankenstein)

Re: glasses, with costuming a professional project, it is the costume department's job to make sure that they know where everything is and take care of it. Using an actor's glasses would mean that he took them home at night, and they wouldn't be under the costumers' control. He might forget them one day, and then they're screwed. They would order their own pair to guarantee that they had them when they need them. In fact, they probably ordered several pair, just in case.
