I don’t get why certain people desperately want Aerith to be forever beholden to her teenage boyfriend and not move after being separated for five years. Not only is it extremely unrealistic to expect her to love only him but also puts another iconic final fantasy romantic couple to question. It’s like saying Rinoa love for Squall doesn’t exist simply because she loved Seifer before. Just like she moved Aerith moved on too.

Can anyone tell me why some zerith and c/loti fans have to always insert their unwanted opinions on clerith posts? This is clearly a clerith post and yet here you are reblogging it and adding your flawed opinion that nobody asked you for.

Guess what? Cloud’s already been reunited with Aerith in multiple games, ranging from FF tactics, to KH1, to FF Mobius, Advent Children shows Cloud reuniting with Aerith in the end, and even the original game shows Cloud reuniting with Aerith if you remember that the OG had everyone die.  So you know what, just do yourself a favor and keep your Zerith opinions off of my Clerith content.

P.S., Cloud will ALWAYS be the better choice for Aerith because he’s the better man and he never cheated on Aerith, unlike Zack.

Most of the Relationship Values for Tifa/Aerith date sequence in the original game makes sense. But in Crisis Core, it really bugs me that the way to increase Aerith's affection with Zack is to be a schmuck continuously. You have to believe in all the market NPCs while they help you, when they are obviously treating you like an idiot and letting the thief run away. So... what exactly does this say about Aerith — she likes her men naive to the point of being a Cloud Cuckoo Lander? I interpreted it as "points for being in-character", since Crisis Core's date points differ from FF7's in that the only possible outcome is Aeris, and, to be fair, Zack is pretty much a grade-A sucker. I mean—look at how suggestible he is when interacting with, say, the other 1st Class SOLDIERs, or with Yuffie, or even with freaking Hojo, who, if you inspect the giant sample tube while you're protecting him, manages to trap Zack inside just by telling him to look closer for what's in it (nothing, until Zack himself). I think she's just into schmucks. Corneo's mansion, anyone?

Zerith WAS canon, it isn’t canon anymore--

Zerith was the past.

Zack and Aerith were a 'puppy love' that never got serious. The majority of the relationship was a retcon (a 'retcon' is when the creator's change or add detail to something that wasn't present in the original. If you played the original game FF7, what we know about Zerith is that;

1) Aerith tells Cloud that she and Zack weren't serious

Aerith "Just the same as him." Cloud "The same as who?" Aerith "My first boyfriend." Cloud "You were... serious?" Aerith "No. But I liked him for a while." Cloud "I probably knew him. What was his name?" (Aerith shakes her head.) Aerith "It doesn't really matter."

2) Zack was a ladies man.

Cloud "Missing?" Aerith "I think it was 5 years ago. He went out on a job, and never came back." "He loved women, a real lady's man. He probably found someone else..." * * *

1) Aerith says Zack's bad traits is being a ladies man 2) Aerith says Cloud's 'simplistic' and 'awkward' ways is what she loved about Cloud and she says this is why Cloud is better. 3) Zack asks Aerith to 'call him' and she says no.

But she couldn't figure out the truth. Her thoughts just went in circles. Aerith delved into her memories again. Memories that showed Cloud's individuality. The way he walked. She remembered all his actions one by one... Most of those thoughts merged into the Sea of Mako and awakened a character. The character recognized the image she recalled and "he" woke up.”

I wonder what your reaction will be when the remake inevitably pushes Z/A and C/T? Will you have a meltdown and accuse SE of retcons and contradictions? Will you just disappear into a pit of despair? Or will you double down on your delusional nonsense and insist it's still clerith? Maybe throw in a madness mantra? "Nojimasaidtheywereloversnojimasaidtheywereloversnojimasaidtheywerelovers".

Let’s see.... Nojima just recently wrote a novel in which he said Cloud and Aerith were LOVERS, Japanese fans confirmed that the original Japanese text DID confirm Cloud & Aerith as lovers... Square Enix then released official translations of this same novel, in which both STILL said Cloud and Aerith were lovers.

I see it like this, anon. Cloud and Aerith were said to be a love story in the original commercials, they’re said to have an ‘affinity’ between each other, Cloud is physically attracted to Aerith, they go on dates, receive a marriage prediction, Cloud even wants to find and be with Aerith when he dies, Tifa is jealous of Aerith’s special bond with Cloud, Cloud and Tifa ‘aren’t very good friends’, Cloud and Aerith were depicted as husband and wife ... and now Nojima confirmed them to be ‘mutual’ (maybe even sexual) LOVERS. 

I’m feeling pretty confident.

And no, if cloti is confirmed, it will come after Cloud already chose Aerith to love, and Tifa will be second best until Cloud finally dies (just like Tifa says in the special version of Advent Children). Which ruins the cloti ship moreso than better it.

But honestly, I adore this ship to the moon and back, nothing will change that. I’ve never raged quit so far, especially when you all said the LTD was over at TLS.net. 

You, however, get pissed off every time Clerith sails a little farther in the otp ocean towards CANON Island.

By the way, you’re obviously a real cloti anon or else you wouldn’t have made sure not to use actual ‘cloti’ and ‘zerith’ in your post, trying to spare your tag from this BS.
