Secondly, those amazing notes just trashing CoL because CoL did not help those people even though they claimed they did (Belinda gives them the benefit of the doubt saying they might've not got through but Lucius and Belinda got through pretty easily).

Thirdly, Lucius has a history with necromancy???

So I just realized even more about the Church of Light. You remember Daimon's story? You remember that Daimon's grandpa was totally convinced that Daimon getting sick out of nowhere was a curse bestowed on him because of Niru? Not by the gods, let alone Dura, but by the church?

Yeah, no wonder Belinda and Lucius don't openly act against the CoL. Not only would THEY get executed (not banished like Antandra, CoL doesn't give that option) but their families would suffer as well and might even die in horrible ways. If CoL doesn't stop at cursing a child with a horribly painful deadly sickness, they won't show mercy to someone's family just because they used to do a lot of work for them.
